best AVI -> VOB/DVD converter?

so google is throwing up a shedload of apps to convert AVIs to DVD format. which one is the best? any recommendations?

nvm i just remembered afterdawn and found avi2dvd
btw i didn't know nero could convert avis to dvd. does that include the OEM too or the full version only?

avi2dvd has always done it best for me -- looks like the newer versions of it is shareware instead of freeware though :/
nero does it, i have the OEM and it does, but it's slow as fuck and just generally uncomfortable.

the latest avi2dvd is released under GNU, so it's freeware. either that or the install license blurb lied

My bad! I use Divx2DVD, which is much more painless than this Avi2DVD you're all using... but no longer freeware :\
