A sort of picmip setting

using image_lodbias. But unusable because of the text.

image-lodbias is default but I wanted to see what image_lodbias 4 is like, and this is it. Urrrgly! If it wasn't for the text, it would be a perfect picmip replacement. See the 68fps on the second shot? If that framerate is possible, surely a lot more frames can be achieved on a faster system than mine when tweaked? Someone told me they had 100fps on a tweaked config.

This is on image-lodbias 1. After that, ( ie, image_lodbias 2) the text gets too blurry again). Conversely, the minus numbers sharpen it up.

I remember playing with this in UT2004, or 3, I don't remember.. I only hate it because it kills your hud.

use the image_ commands.

seta image_downSizeLimit "64"
seta image_ignoreHighQuality "1"
seta image_downSizeBumpLimit "64"
seta image_downSizeSpecularLimit "2"
seta image_downSizeBump "1"
seta image_downSizeSpecular "1"

etc

I did all those commands, of which the image lodbias was one. It's only the lodbias that does this.
In fact, I used a lot of those upsetchaps graphics tweaks, and now it seems that the high teens framerate I had when there were about 6 players has now been transferred to when theres about a dozen players. Meaning, it has improved things. 6/7 players is much more playable now. At least, it was just now.

Ok, you were right and I was wrong! I'm gonna try this then.
