Looks like it's getting mixed reviews so far. Fans of the game may like it, but for everyone else, it seems to be a dud
An AP reivew posted on MSN gave it 0.5 out of 5 (ouch!):

I just got back from it. To be honest, it wasn't actually THAT bad. It had its faults, but they did a pretty good job of it.
The only shit I didn't like about it is when they tried to turn the movie into a fucking 1on1 deathmatch. At that point it got fuckin queer real quick. The first person viewpoint right before that was pretty nifty, though.
I also didn't like how they had all the monsters morphing from humans. Aren't some of them sposed to be from Hell or something?
All in all, not bad. Worth the couple bucks.

I had a feeling this would be just another 'B' movie, and it sounds like it is. Oh well, I'll still go see it with my nephew sometime.
Anyone in UK know when and where it's showing? I can't find anything online.

The movie sucks ass. It is about as good as the Super Mario Bros movie.
Entertaining, but mind numbing.

Two thumbs down from Ebert and Roeper, but that doesn't keep DOOM from reaching #1 at the box office this past weekend

I saw it last night , although its a mindless action flick, it was an entertaining and decent tribute to Doom. 6/10

What a crappy movie...then again I didn't really have any high expectations. Although thinking about it, it could've been amazing if done right (and with the proper budget). Alas.
The FPS sequence rocked, though. :icon14:
