Google has hit an all-time low :(

First time I have ever seen an image besides the logo on the frontpage. :(

Google, whatever happen to simplicity?

I hope this not the foreshadowing of a dark, twisted, journey into bloated, chaotic webpage hell, a la altavista.com circa 1999.

:( :( :(

probably pushing it more after the Google/Sun Microsystems deal. the toolbar is now also an option in the Java Runtime Environment download.

at least it's optional. if you're an IE user and a noob (funny how those go hand in hand) Google's toolbar is a step in the right direction for a pop-up blocker.

Forget it. Horrible experiences with them (at least, with Casema cable, which is practically the same now). XS4ALL is the best provider of the Netherlands (and quite possibly the world :D) ever IMO. I'll always stick with them.

lol, you had casema? no wonder you had horrible experiences. that has nothing to do with the reseller, casema has always been bad - theyll never lose that reputation. i remember in the old irc days (1995 et al) that all the casema-tools would be booted off at midnight because their IPs got changed :olo:

me personally have exactly 0 problems with my current wanadoo connection (4mbit atm, 20 in november); its a lot better than versatel even; and a whole lot cheaper \0/

Yeah. Cable internet when it was brand spanking new. I remember playing the Q3Test on it for a couple of weeks, but then there came this explosive growth of subscribers and the problems started. Speeds of 3kb/sec were considered fast.

I also know two people who worked at Casema's helpdesk. The brother of a friend of mine worked there and he said that in the early days games of Unreal weren't be uncommon during business hours. The girlfriend of another friend of mine worked there for a while as well and she said that they got these stories to tell to the customers which were blatant lies.

I might as well let you people fully hijack my thread:

I hereby grant dutch people the ability to post responses in this thread in their own language.

No, and I tried it in both IE and FF.
