Currently trying to register a domain name to set up a website that will allow me to not only host the site but be able to sell over the net too.
got any suggestions?
I am currently using verisign to check the domain name (it is available and they are offering a webhosting facility (I think?)

For a basic package, you can get it cheaper.
My host has a slow initial response rate to page requests, but they were very cheap, reliable, and comprehensive.
I paid about £20 for a year's hosting with them, and about £20 again on top of that for 2 years ownership of FPS-Media.com
My host is QiQ.cc
They have backbone connections in Aus and the UK.
The features you'll definitely want are PHP and MySQL support. Other items like pre-made scripts are just gravy.
