Just want to share this with you.
I participated in one of their hunts already and they sent me a letter to participate in other ones like these.

You don’t have to be a pro designer or an engineer to summit your idea.
I am sure that some of you have cleaver ideas about something.
This is a secure site and you don’t even need a patent to submit your idea for once.
Good luck.

Well since Doomer just did the icons it might be a little while before he does them again. It would have nothing to do with you being new. But if you need any help with one, I'll be glad to help. Pick an image and I'll see if I can make one out of it. There are bunches of them available in the icon sticky in QwFix or you can choose something on your own. Post a thread in Fix when you want to try something out. But like I said, it might be a little while before they are done again.

Thanks my dear friend but change this one right away it really doesn't suit you well even for a joke like.
I might want to have one with just my back with a poney tail, remember?

You are quite possibly the most irritating person I ever met on the internet. Testo is a saint beside you.

It seems these days an "inventor" is someone who knows how to get an idea patented and into production, rather than someone who comes up with a solution to a problem...

Does there need to be a problem for an invention? I didn't know that was a requirement. Was there a problem with attaining air before the wright bros.?

every invention does somewhat solve a problem no matter how silly that might be, think of sliced bread, it solved the problem of having to cut a regular loaf of bread to a desirable size piece of bread. Now all you have to do instead of bothering with the knife, is pull it out of a bag!

No and I think that they can even create more problems sometimes.
Car; death accidents and pollution.
Boat; same and with proliferation of contagious virus around the world.
Airplane; The 9/11, well, I know they would have found another way but may be they wouldn’t have been able to come in the USA without any of the above in the first place.

I think for an invention to have any purpose its got to solve some sort of problem or somehow make life easier.

To have a purpose sure. But there are plenty of inventions that don't really have any problem solving qualities. The hoola hoop for instance.

Hoola Hoops were originally part of traditional tribal dances and were just brought to the masses. Most other inventions, especially those that last, have a pretty distinct problems they're tackling.

You are right my friend.
A good example, one of if not the biggest sold toy ever invented, by accident at that.
In the beginning it was supposed to be like a type of wheel you roll by hand or with a stick and it wasn’t selling, then someone tried it around her waist, bang! A big hit.

I agree with that. I was just saying that I didn't think it was absolutely necessary for an invention to solve a problem. Didn't know about the tribal thing with the hoola hoop. Bad example I guess. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I could sit here and invent something completely useless that would never sell or anything like that, but it would still be an invention. But yeah, i'd say that 99.9999999% of all inventions probably solve some kind of problem.
