now all they need to do is get rid of that minimum safe distance crap and add weapons.

I take it you've not seen the Reno Air Races, then?

r Diamandis said the races would be run over aerial tracks that were about two miles (3.2km) long, one mile (1.6km) wide, and about 5,000ft high, running perpendicularly to spectators.
2 miles is awfully short running distance for speed
and besides being over a mile high at some point is just a waste of time as the speed sensation is totally lost
they wanna do it..... do it right
10 miles long courses 1/2 mile wide maximum height 500 feet, no minimum distance rule.

Finaly, an exiting way to die. Reminds me of a F-4 jet crashing in to a solid brick wall, and dematerialiseing. (they where testing the wall)
But seriously tho, an exilent reason to get rich and drive one of those.

aye, on that jeremy clarkson thing. the jets were the best, the power boats he looked at were pretty nifty too - but these are rockets. corners like a cadillac and flies the way bricks don't.
the sooner we get a real-world equivalent of wipeout the better.

It'll be great when the pilots black out and crash into the crowd! \o/

they won't black out - their brains will have been hooked up to the onboard computer and their bloodstream will be directly linked to a pressurised drip system that supplies the appropriate narcotics when needed.
how else would they be able to control the complex weapons systems, pick an mp3 to listen to, laugh maniacally and steer all at the same time?

I know you're taking the piss here, but it's the blood being pushed out of the brain that causes blackouts, you know that, right?

aye, but i don't see why a ton of glaringly obvious flaws should get in the way of my ideal vision of how racing should be.
