Quake3World

Picked it up yesterday, playing about with it now.

Very good game so far. Its not on the same scale as the PC version of FarCry, you know, its not huge and drop dead sexy, but i love the way it stays is first person the whole game, and all the cinematics are done in your view (So, for example, when the cinematic takes over, you see your hands moving and all sorts, and your view will look about like you would IRL, stuff like that).

I never knew it was a remake of the first game, lol. I only just finished the training level and am talking to Doyal now.

Not bad thus far anyways, great for a console. Anybody else tried it yet?

Well on the pc version you dont really have this do you, and TBH from what i've seen of the tutorial, i would rather just shoot the guys than make a trap and throw a rock hoping he hears it and nots sees the 5 foot long spike in front of him.

As for the powers, we shall see how they turn out

But so far its good. Good replay value it seems, because while its not as open ended as the pc version, it does contain multiple pathes in places, with an easy or hard way to take, so you can come back later on.

WHY???

its not a remake at all, its almost a sequal

after about 30% of the game you get predator like powers, and in the last 30% you are a fullblown animal where you can pick up the scent of your enemies n such

its kinda like the Predator missions in AvP2. a great powerkick but not exciting at all

It Is a remake of the first game. Those of you who want the PC version spoiled, carry on reading...

In the PC version your on a boat, with Val, that gets blown up, then you have to chase down Crow, while talking to this guy Doyal on a radio, and then have to chase down this guy kregor or something and then you find out doyal is bad and kill him.

In this version so far, I have been on a boat at the start wih Val, it gets blown up, she goes missing, i see crow, i chase him down while talking to doyal, and then see kreegor on this video thing while crow is injecting me...

I bet you any money ill be back here later on saying that i've killed crow/kreger and that Doyal is bad and i have to kill him in a volcano

Because lets face it, if these guys all died in the first one, how are the same events happening in the same way with the same people in this "sequal"

In other words, its a remake, not a sequal BTW my hands are so fucking cold so ignore typos please

Dunno how far in i am, i just had the implant removed by a... WHITE... Doyal... lol, caught me of guard, didn't know who he was...

Good. All games need fewer black people.

I've heard that it takes a nosedive after level 5...

At the end boss now, and hes a bastard... He has like 500000000HP, and these big dudes keep spawning all around him...

Not to high-jack your thread but I completely fucked myself in RE4. I was on chapter 4-3 I think and I needed memory card space so I deleted the last RE4 save thinking it corresponded to the last one in the list....yeah, totally have to start back at chapter 3-2.

First time playing? Fuck mate, wait until you see the later bits. And if your jaw doesn't hit the floor in the "lava room", there must be something wrong with ya
