Michigan comes out on top of State during OT and now USC slipping. Exciting day of college ball.

the days of undefeatedness (pro/am) are ancient history. Kind of like Nebraska or the Sooners.

not even in the AP rankings

Yeah. He's a 322 lb defensive lineman from American Semoa who happened to grab a fumble.

ND beat Michigan
MSU beat ND
Michigan beat MSU
Looks like it's come full circle :icon32:
I want USC to lose so my Horns could be #1
Looks like no way in Hell though
For two weeks now USC had to come from behind to win. Hopefully Cal, ND, or UCLA will get them eventually. If not, I guess we'll just have to take care of them ourselves in the Rose Bowl...

i support northwestern and texas.
so question for those who understand (if it is possible)the BCS, is it better or worse for VT to lose if i'm a texas fan?
its pretty complicated the way i see it. if VT loses, georgia and alabama get pushed up one rank. its widely accepted that by the end of the season UT will be pushed down below USC if both teams win out.
isnt it easier for whoever wins the SEC (assuming they win out) to be bumped above UT if their rank going into the SEC championship game is 3 as opposed to 4?

whoever wins the SEC (assuming they win out) should be number 1, but if USC and texas end up undefeated that's who's going to play for number 1. If they get to play. I don't know do they?
USC should still be number one (and I live in Texas) they take way more chances with their schedule. Mack brown said last year (after beating Arkansas in thelast minute, after losing to them in Austin the year before) that he would never schedule Arkansas again, too much of a rivalry. Fuck Mack Brown, it's rivalries like that that make college football.
What a pussy.

yeah they do

credit the big loss of Matt Jones

I'm not sure how I feel about this, but next year Houston Nutt will be out and Butch Davis will be in.
A prediction only, but I think it's very probable.

they can play each other in the rose bowl (national championship this year)

Now if they can only remain unbeaten we can have a true Championship game!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I really hope UT will make it to the Rose Bowl. I actually don't care who we play as long as we get there. After all, we're the defending Rose Bowl champion! :icon30:

Nice to see another Texas fan here

, and of course it's good for UT if VT (or any other unbeaten team for that matter) loses.
Both USC and UT are so far ahead of the pack right now that it's very difficult for any team to jump them as long as they continue to win to keep the pollsters impressed. This is because with this year's BCS rankings, human polls account for 2/3 of the socres while the 6 computer rankings account for only 1/3 of the score (so strength of schedule isn't as significant as in years past).
Although the pollsters/BCS seem to like my 'Horns this year, I have to say I'd much prefer a playoff system to decide the national championship.

It's unfortunate that the Big 12 is having a down year. Not Texas' fault really. And if I were the AD at UT, I would've fired Mack Brown right on the spot after that loss to OU again last year :icon8: That was absolutely the last straw...

Both the Ark games and the OSU games were scheduled before Brown got there. Texas did well this year and I have respect for them, but the attitude of their coach just kinda turns me off.

complaining about rednecks in football is like complaining about cocaine in modelling agencies.
