I'm seriously considering this monitor and I'm looking for ojective reviews. Everything I've read so far looks really good.

What do you guys think/know about it?

I'm looking for LCD info, not financial advice.

Thanks.

Does anyone know if they even make an LCD monitor, over 19", that has a true 12ms or less response time?

Dell use the same make panels as Apple AFAIK and my 23" Apple Display is fine for gaming (16ms response).

There are even 19" LCDs that claim to have 4ms refresh rates. I'm little uncertain as to whether they live up to those claims, but the 4-8ms range for gaming should be ideal.

My brother just bought that 24" monster a couple of weeks ago. So far, he's pretty happy with it. He says there's no blurring on games. I went over and took a look. Played Q3 on it without any problems.

Looks pretty good except that it's so huge and the way he has it positioned, you have to move your head around to see the whole screen. Not really a complaint, of course.

Watch for the Dell coupons:

http://www.gottadeal.com/dell.php?category=lcd

There was a 33% off the 2405FPW coupon that expired July 30; right now there's a 22% off coupon.
