Nah, i just dont get what id software and co. are trying to say to us...
First they tell us that we DONT want coop, and that they wont add it because it wrecks doom 3. Then they add it to the xbox version and it turns out the best part of the game.
Next, they say to us "You dont have a flashlight and weapon at the same time because it wrecks the tension". and then, they go and add one to the pistol here...?
I just dont see why they are wrong all the time then try and hide it by changing it in another version, hoping nobody will care?

Would there be any way of ripping this (legal?) from the game and implementing it into the PC version?

Nope, its not like back in the old dreamcast days. Plus its illegal
I could model and skin it easy, even do the effects and stuff, but its getting into the game i would have trouble with.

It would be pretty easy to mod one yeando.
The pistol is shit anyway, so I'm not too fussed.

Thats what I was thinking of just taking the model out of the game. I aint sure if they use the same .pak etc layouts for the xbox version

the game probably isn't really all that different; the xbox is afterall just a pentium III running windows, stuffed in an old VCR case.

i understand your point though. the whole thing is pretty lame.

the darkness was the only good thing about doom3... along with the fun you have while playing it.
