it doesnt, it really really doesnt. I am quite pleased. Although I figured out its waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay easier to control the choppers using your keyboard than it is using the mouse.... duh!

I'm great flying choppers with the mouse. But I'll be damned if I can fly a jet for 5 minutes without crashing that way.

You have to use both the mouse and the keyboard to fly a helicopter successfully. Moving the mouse left and right, and pressing your left and right strafe buttons do different things.

Get the machine gun, it makes a highly satisfying noise.

get the upgrade for the kit you enjoy playing the most

I play Anti-Tank a lot, so I got the DAO12. It's very powerful, but leaves you incredibly vulnerable for any enemies on foot more than 30 feet away.

I then got the G36C for Spec-Ops, very helpful gun for picking enemies off and a little bit more oomph for close up bursts.

I think next I'll go with the Medic upgrade, as play that kit a lot and you can pick people off what that scoped auto. Either that or engineer, because the engineer shotty is very slow between shots.

I find the medic upgrade incredibly useful when it's set to single shot and when used at long to medium range - the recoil is horrible when using autofire and imo it's mostly useless up close.

I find that up close, it's better than the AK 3-shot burst, though.

finally got around to installing xp at the weekend, had forgotten there's a copy of bf2 sat on top of my monitor waiting for it.

so what's the score with this game, are there fast euro servers for it? is it very noob freindly with so many xp'd up players about? is it as much fun to play as desert combat was?

I got the Jackhammer as I play as an Engineer most of the time. I'll get the G36C (most accurate weapon in the game) next.
The L85A1(Medic unlock) is complete shit from what I've read.

Its fucking awesome, its easy to play until you realise that it isnt, if that makes sense (IE it captures you pretty quickly but keeps you through the complexities), there are fast servers around but nothing like q3 ones (Most are around 75 - 150 ) PS if you wanna use any of the aircraft including choppers buy a joystick


got a saitek 290 especially for this and I can now successfully navigate through the air without dieing within 2 seconds.

yea i picked up the logitech 3d pro for this...

still haven't decided on an upgrade gun...probably the medic one...
