no - the stand alone complex series is settled in a 'parrallel universe', where major kusanagi never joined with the AIGrudge wrote:Should one see Stand alone complex before seeing Ghost in the Shell 2?
but ghost in the shell: innocence (the 2 is just there for the US release, so that no yank gets confused) is settled some years after ghost in the shell. it's more or less a sequel.

if your talking about Ghost in the Shell 2 - Innocence, its not as good as the first.

maybe - not seen the first one for ages - thats bloody brilliant aswell
actually on that subject I got the latest feature length appleseed to other day too - reminedme of the first ghost in the shell because of the openning chain gun sequence(though the rest of the film is abit dire on pacing and plot)
