18,290 miles in 10 months.
got the car on november 4th, so by the time i've had it a year, i should be rolling over 22,000 in the first year.
good thing i've gotten an average of > 30 mpg over that 18k haul... so its only cost me $1,333 (yes i'm such a stats dork i've been tracking every single mile and gal of petrol)

seems like a lot of miles for one year... or is that near what all the other yanks are driving now-a-days?

I've put almost 5,000 on the R1 already. WHEEEEE!!!

damn... at that rate it would take > 8 years to roll off 100,000mi
seems a bit low.
course, the city-folk that have cars but don't really need them for more than grocery shopping probably bring the avg down quite a bit.

i've been doing about the same with my car. mind you though i had to drive between corvallis and portland twice a week which is a little over 90 miles. did that for two years and then did a lot of driving on the side. at least most of it's highway though.

this year i've changed schools so my car's gonna parked most of the time since i'll be taking the max (basically a subway) to school.

i drive 70 miles each way to class 4 days a week. + work is another 15 or so. 5 days a week.
then the lady doesn't like driving, so we always take my car everywhere.
good thing i like driving.

my dad's put on less than 20k and he's had his car for as long as the sc430 has been out.

Before I moved I drove 28,600 miles a year. Now I drive 3600.

in one year of my rents driving around in there Van, they put 73'000KM on it.

That's the average I've always heard used when calculating expected mileage on a car for resale. 12,000 per year, that is.

yeah, me too, but it still seems awful low. they do annual mileage for leases using that figure too, i believe.

Same here 8000 miles on my new car since March 2005, better than previous years though, but I do have 3 cars to split the mileage...

We've put 80,000 miles on the work truck in a little over a year.

Let's archive this thread and compare results ten years from now, after peak oil has arrived. Should be interesting.

Took me 10 years to clock up 113,000 klms (70K miles) in my old Festiva. There was a couple of long road trip holidays.

Hardly drive at all now as I get the train to work.

Be lucky to fill the tank every 6 or 7 weeks.

i do about 12k a year...average really

I thought 15K a year was the average.

22K isn't too awfully bad though.

I just hit 15K two days ago, had my car 23 months.

yea i think about 12.5k a year or so
