Thanks MKJ

Filefront is always fucking flawless. Like 10 mirrors on from them, no wait on any of them, and my connection is maxed when downloading (330K/sec).

played it a bit

a fe things bother me.

Gibs. n the test build, everything gibbed because the didnt have any deathanims yet. in this demo, pretty uch everything seems to gib as well, but only what is supposed to gib. you can shoot a grunt in the face with a rocket and he'll ragdoll all over the place, and you can shoot a giant spider with an uzi and he'll gib. boo :( also, too much gibbing and explosions going on

Life-system. lives are great for a game like this - the xbox version of SS1 had a life-system. in SS2, "lives" mean "number of times you can do a maprestart"; not "number of times you can continue like nothing happened". if you run out of lives, you can continue playing along but you wont score any point. so basically, its the same as quicksaving. boo again

Is this some kind of sick twisted joke? WTF is this thing they're trying to pass of as a worthy successor to SS?

I've been a fan of the SS franchise since forever, just ask Rod i've been registered on his forums since 2001.

This 'demo' was a complete POS. The graphics somehow managed to look worse than the blurry footage we saw at E3.

The 'physics' engine is a complete joke, I didn't see one rag doll.

The animations are horrible for everything from the orc soldiers death cycle to sams retarded child like walk.

The sound was attrosious and many things didn't even MAKE a noise.

The combat is dull as hell as are the weapons.

I ask again...is this kind of horrible joke? Whatever kind of spark of genius the first two SS titles had seems to have been totally lost in this digital abortion of a game.

Thanks Cro. Thanks for ****ing us over like so many other companies by making games for consoles and then porting them to the PC. (Badly)

I always liked Serious Sam, I think it's awsome!

I like the fact that they took the time and re-designed the whole game. Everything is new in it.

It does look like your playing a Cartoon though. Not bad, just saying.

thats a bit unfair. Serious Sam Xbox is more polished, balanced and more complete than the pc version.
the problem here is that they were like "yea we'll create sometihng a hundred times more absurd than the monty python crew on crack lolol!!" and lost focus of what made the game

Jesus Christ, if it jerked any harder my monitor would bleed semen. I couldn't even finish the demo because it got so bad. And I played around with the graphic settings, and it didn't do much either. Its not like i've got a shit system (AMD64 3000, 1024GB RAM, ATI X800 PRO etc...) but in its current state its pretty much unplayable for me.

And it looks like another dumb console port. The control configuration is stupid, and it took me about 15 minutes to even get mouselook working properly.

The graphics aren't so bad, but if HL2 and D3 can look better and run smoothly, there is no reason why an inferior looking game shouldn't be able to do the same.

What a mess.
