If I can be serious for second though -- does anybody else find it weird that British troops were dressed as Arabs in a car full of explosives, shooting at Iraqi police, doing official undercover work?

edit: And the British military physically broke into the jail to get them out before they could be questioned?

I read somewhere they have orders to shoot cops who get in their way since the rebels have infiltrated the police apparatus in so many places.

God knows what they were doing...

I think the brits down there are catching the dumb gene from the yanks.

...however my guess is some sort of Vietnam era Phoenix program is being executed with guys like this doing the dirty work. And yes, that's a total guess, only based upon this incident and the fact that so many corpses have been found lately (all attributed to sectarian rivalries).
