Try searching on ebay for sellers that claim to carry rare movies. Send them an email asking if they can find what you want. There is also a tol on ebay where you can post what it is you want to buy and all sellers can check it out.

On the same subject, I've been looking for Metropolis for ages. I'd love to have a DVD of it.

make sure you don't accidentally pick up the giorgio moroder version of metropolis.
i've sat here for a good minute trying to think of words to describe just how unforgivably, horribly fucking bad it is, and given up.

Sorry it took so long for me to reply. I just moved and don't have the internet at my apartment yet.
Here's a few films I'm looking for.
Decoy (Jack Bernhard, 1946)
Hijosen no onna (aka "Dragnet Girl") (Yasujiro Ozu, 1933)
The Pigeon Egg Strategy (Max Makowski, 1998)
Eyes (Stan Brakhage, 1971)
Once More, My Darling (Robert Montgomery, 1949)
Wicked Wicked (Richard L. Bare, 1973)
The Story of Mankind (Irwin Allen, 1957)
Alias Nick Beal (John Farrow, 1949)
Private Property (Leslie Stevens, 1960)
Outtakes from Night of the Hunter (Charles Laughton, 1955)
