um there doesn't seem to be much context for what the thread's about - first post assumes a knowledge of the previous correspondance between the poster and the scammer.

are you supposed to read it from the last post up or something?- i can't be fucked to go through 40 pages to see what it's about - would help if the whole story was told in an orderly and coherent manner...

or maybe i'm just stupid and it is but i don't get it.

...I just spent 10 mins reading through the whole 2 posts.

Christ juls, you're not someone I would expect to complain about the length of reading.

Thats some fucked up shit.
So he intentionally adds on $500 to trick you to pay him $500 as well as a shipment of laptops.
Nice.

not about length - i started reading it and was immediately lost. I scrolled down a bit and got more lost, so i took it as a possibility that there was missing context

did you have to read this stuff first?

http://thescambaiter.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1132

have you followed this guy for a while and you know his dealio?

does it have anything to do with the fact that i'm not registered, and therefore cannot see all the text?

Jules, there have been others like this posted before, so it's easy to spot what it is.

Nigerian email scammer is trying to bilk him for some money, so he has already (only read the first page) scammed the scammer for a few hundred bucks.

I love these things, and this is one of the best I've seen. He actually sent someone to meet the guy?!

And did you see that letter he made the dude sign? shit :olo:

Most interesting is that they are in Manchester.

Which for the benefit of yankees, is not in Nigeria.

I read quite a bit of it. The Nigerian guy contacted him to buy some laptops. Then proceeded to send a fraud check for $4000. The baiter then asked him to send cash to cover the shipping which he does. The baiter then boxes up huge amounts of crap pc parts and ships it to the guy who has to spend a huge amount of money to recieve the load of crap. Then the Nigerian starts sending hilarious death threats by email. This apparently goes on for quite some time. Yeah, a little confusing at first but it gets clearer the more you read. Funny shit too.

i'm used to the nigerian scammer who initiates the contact by giving a story about how he needs 25 million dollars deposited in a bank or something. I've actually fucked with one of these people's minds.

gonna see if i can dig it up

I'm assuming it was by phone. Haven't seen anything on the first contact. Of course, I've only read maybe a quarter of the pages.

sigh.. i guess i just don't get it. I mean i understand the scam now that you guys explained it, but I don't see how you could easily arrive at that understanding without any background knowledge.

I guess not knowing what UPS is doesn't help either - i'm kinda clueless about the world of shipping and all that terminology...

ok it's settled: this is one of the worst presentations of information i've ever seen. I've read a couple of reverse scams before and they actually read like a coherent story.

Dear Sir,

Before the death of his father, I assisted Late President Laurent Kabila to deposit an amount of US$16.2M(Sixteen Million, Two Hundred Thousand United States Dollars) in a Security company in Europe during the war in my Country. Although the Security Company does not know the content of the box deposited because we gave false information claiming the content are personal effects of Mr. Laurent Kabila. It is in this respect that I seek your help to assist me claim this fund before the present Government headed by the son will have knowledge of this money to avoid being taken away.

On conclusion of this business, I shall compensate you with 25% of the fund for your assistance, while 5% is mapped out for any on foreseen expenses during the cause of transaction, and the remaining 70% are ours. We are ready to invest our 70% in any profitable business proposed by you in your country. I also welcome your terms, suggestions and ideas.

Dear ***,

Thank your for your prompt response.

I would be forwarding your information to our local bank for the change in documents. I will advise you to get a phone/fax because the bank would contact you through either of the
two.

We count on your co-operation.

Sincerely yours,

Mudzuri

********************************

I'm sure the bank will have no problem contacting me through a means other than a phone. Banks these days have special employees that are able to communicate telepathically across continents through dreams. Did you know this?

Tell the bank that I will try to get a good night's sleep on the night of Wednesday May 28th - So there will be plenty of dreamtime for them to communicate with me. If necessary I will add opium to my night-time milk since this is known to enhance the dreamstate awareness, and i'll be less likely to forget any important communication once i wake up.

Again, I thank you for your patience,

***

************************************
Dear Mr. ***,

Your mail as shown to me that you are not capable of handling
this transaction. I will contact our contact person in bank
withdrawing your information tomorrow.

Thank you.

Sincerely yours,

Mudzuri

No problem kenny,

btw are u related to this guy?

Dear Sir,

BUSINESS PROPOSAL

My name is Mudzuri Kenneth, I am from Seguela, Cote d'Ivoire, during the present political crisis between the Christian and Muslim in my country my father was assassinated because he was a Christian and chairman of the cocoa merchandize. My father foresaw the upcoming of the crisis in my country and deposited his fund with a security company.

I am writing you for assistance if you can help us receive an amount of fund my late father deposited with a security company in Lome, for the purchase of farm machineries and his future Investment.

Before his untimely death he notified my mother and me about the fund and the documents covering the deposit of the fund with the security company are with us. Presently, I have instructed the Security Company to transfer the fund to their branch oversea because of the uncertainty and crisis that engulf most of African countries now.

We shall like you to work with us as a foreign associate to claim the of $16.2million, we are now soliciting for your assistance to claim this fund on our behalf and put it into your account overseas. We are in a refugee camp in Accra, Ghana now to protect our dear life from the assassins.

We would give you 10% of the fund for your assistance and 5% is set aside for any expenses we might incurred during the course of this transaction, while 85% is for my family. Our 85% would be kept in your account pending when you provide me and family with all necessary documents to enable us travel out of the camp to your country and you will advise us on how to invest the fund in lucrative business that would be very profitable.

Please if you are honest and interested in assisting us do send your full name, address and telephone when replying me so that we can prepare a letter of authority that would enable you claim the consignment on our behalf from the Security Company.

Awaiting your response.

Best regards,

Mudzuri Kenneth,

That thread was one of two that were split between two forums. I couldn't find the first half of it. It's fucking hilarious, I can't believe he got that idiot to take pictures of himself holding all those signs. :olo:

I can't get over how he got the guy to sign a paper, which basically said 'If you are a scammer, you agree to be thrown out of your home." :olo:

And yes, it would be nice to see the beginning. I have to admit that, just reading the first page about the shit he was pulling on this guy, I wanted to be convinced that he really was a scammer. And I think the very first emails would be some of the best to read, to see how he hooked the guy initially.
