I've never ridden a bike before, but I can imagine the wind sheer is hard to deal with at that speed. Did you straighten it or did you manage to get it right in the cam?

This is not the first time I've taken photos like this, but it is the first with a fully manual mechanical camera. Prior to getting on the road I preset the focus + exposure, wrap it around my neck, practice holding it in the right place since I won't be able to compose with my helmet on. Brace the camera on my chest to stabilize and snap. That's about it. It may look scary but a bike is usually very stable at high speeds and won't sway much since momentum is carrying it forward. For this shot I got up to about 130km/h before letting go the gas to take the photo.

The swaying and momentum were what I was wondering about. I was trying to figure out if you had that much time to perfectly compose a shot going that fast

I might get picked out for small jobs here and there plus sell a print now and then but I am by no means a working photographer. Over the course of 4 years I've freelanced in Korea I might have made a grand total of 3000 measly dollars...maybe. Photography is an obsession more than anything. I never enjoyed shooting what people tell me to shoot nor liked working on their time table. This is the reason why I may never be a full-time working pro relying on photography as a main source of income. Either way I've still got a long way to go and so much more to learn which is the reason why I don't get bored with it.

Those are a little better than typical from-the-crowd pics, FX 
I like the two outside of the stadium more, especially because they go against what most sports photos look like--outside the stadium and not of people playing. The problem with sports photography is it's too conventional and full of ridiculous safe shots. You'd never see that photo on interweb forums dedicated to shooting sports.

Very nice pics FanaticX, I like the last one a lot. Shows the magnitude of the crowd and gives it an uncanny feel with those huge screens.

Well, I sharpen a lot of them. No lens is really going to be sharp at f/2.8 when you need a lot depth of field to create sharp subjects. I'd probably need at least f/5.6 to give that last one enough DoF to look right.
