Then I realized that my camera really isn't cut out for action-stopping indoor shots, so I went and visited my gf. Her college moved into one of the buildings at the Expo plaza, so I took some pictures there.
My camera is alright, I just wish there was a way to manually set exposure time and aperture. right now i have to point the camera at a lamp, hold the button, then point the camera at my target and press the button all the way for short exposure times.
For longer exposure times I do the same thing but point it at something dark.

why not look for an old film slr. you'll get a great one for fuck all, with lens.

edit: actually, a q3w gallery would be pretty tits, come to think of it.
That first one would be close to perfect if you'd stop blowing out the lake/sea/ocean behind her (or the bike, car or whatever else happens to be the model)
