Inglorious Basterds: 3/10

It's nothing but a sum-up of well-known Tarantino-manierisms. Mostly overdriven and bad acting from the american cast. Tarantinos worst moment so far.

Auch Zwerge haben klein angefangen - ( Even dwarfs started small) 6/10

Werner Herzogs film about a bunch of rebellious midgets living in the country. It was kinda hard to figure out was was going on. The cinematography was great, and I loved the direction.... but the midget voices in german got on my nerves pretty quick.

maybe I need to watch it again. .. In a year or two.

Pretty damn good. I wish they used the gravity gun and the Mech/ bio suit more. Or at least the way they were used in the original short film:
Looks pretty good

EDIT: Just found it somewhere :smirk: and will view asap

Distant Voices/Still Lives. 10/10

A Beautiful film about working class English in the 40's - early 50's. The film is split in two parts...The first is Distant Voices, set at the beginning of the war. Centered on a family and their remembrances of their dying father.. (Who was a Cunt of epic proportions. ) The second part is after the war, and how the family and their friends have all grown to have families of their own.

American Gangster - extended directors cut - 8/10

Really enjoyed this, and I don't see how they could have made it shorter without giving a large amount of character building or plot line going down the pan?

District 9 8.5/10

Enjoyed it thoroughly, from the lead's Office-esque almost-funny character to the social/political commentary, to all the great gibbing scenes.

Oh I saw "9" yesterday. It was so-so. Pretty spectacular, very nicely made, awesome design on the machines but a bit of a wonky story, little depth and an ending that was slightly pathetic.
6/10 I'd say.

Anti-Christ 11/10

Lar Von Trier's surreal masterpiece of absolute horror. I have seen a lot of fucked up films in my life.....But this one takes the crown.
The story of a couple who while having sex ( full penetration shown) Their baby gets out of its crib and falls out a window. The mother naturally has a complete breakdown. The father ( Willem Defoe) , a psychologist attempts to use psychotherapy to help her. They go out to a remote cabin in the woods to deal with her Fears....and then ...I'm not gonna say anything else to ruin it.. But HOLY FUCK!.

There Are things in this film I wish I never saw and they will probably haunt me for the rest of my life.

Here's the official trailer:

Trash Humpers 4/10

Harmony Korines new "film" about for old shit disturbers who go around smashing stuff with hammers and dry humping garbage cans and tree's. I wanted to like it... He's my favorite director, but holy shit this film sucked.

Up 8/10
Movies like Up and Wall-E give me hope that there are still imaginative and talented people making animated movies, despite the overwhelming amount of garbage (like Madagascar) being made.

Død snø = 8.5/10 - It has Nazi zombies. For a movie that isn't supposed to be taken seriously in any sense (it even mocks itself right at the beginning) the camera work, music, dialogue and acting are better than I expected in most scenes....especially the creepy old guy who visits the cabin. Chicks are hot, gore is good and - in case you forgot - it has Nazi zombies.

lol

Fuckin Nazi zombies.

500 days of summer. 8/10

A Guy falls in love with a "too cool for you " girl ( Zooey Deschanel  ) named summer .. ( their relationship starts over a mutual love of The Smiths... ) The film jumps around the 500 days of their relationship to see what went right and how it went wrong.
Good chick flick.
Great soundtrack.

Fuckin Nazi zombies.
You reminded me to get round to watching this, and I was mostly dissapointed. I think they pussied out a little, it was obvious that they had a fairly good budget, some above average actors, a great location and most importantly the inclination to make a zombie nazi film but their story was so weak. If it were me I'd have had a wolfenstein occult theme going on to explain the zombies and settled on either having a few uber nazis and concentrated my funds on maybe 5 or 6 guys with really good makeup, or spent it on loads and loads of extras in hoardes. They just seemed to have a rather pathetic group of old men in uniforms, apart from that one guy who was in a sperm suit? :|. They can still have a good nod to films like evil dead and have a good story. Meh. 4/10.

It's a shame Worst Case Scenario got shelved :(:
