It sounds good. Of course, they played 16 players on a LAN, so that doesn't really say anything about the netcode online, but it sounds promising anyway.

I don't really think it's worth worrying about things like weapon damage, number of jumppads, HUD sizes and things like that, since they can all be changed with a mod. What I'm interested in is the netcode and physics mainly. Even the physics can be changed a little with mods, but it sounds like they were aiming for q3-style basic physics, which sounds pretty damn good to me.

I'm still going to reserve judgement until I either get to play it or see some much better in-game footage though.

The rockets looked pretty good in the gameplay video. The speed could be changed with a mod anyway though.

Yeah, that is cheap, and part of me says "yeah, not bad" but TBH, do i really care enough for it...? Its only a rare few times that FP has files that i want. And even then, it only takes an hour or so for a mirror to pop up some place.

Maybe back in the day i would of done it, back when FP used to be THE place to grab files (The yellow one, remember, holdskool). But these days, everywhere has the same to offer.

Hey, yeah, sound, but not from the game...

Quake 4 has damage indicators, like in HL2.

EDIT: HIGHLIGHT OF THE VIDEO, THE RtCW ICON HATS. I NEED ONE.

EDIT2: DOWN POINT OF THE SHOW, THE HYPER BLASTER IS BLUE AND IS INSTANT HIT, LIKE THE NAILGUN. :/

Yes because no one other than you thought/thinks that and no one will have approached Raven during Quakecon to suggest they beef it up.
