I just found the exact place where I was working in the great great north of Quebec but I don't have a high resolution system.
If you think you can do better, feel free and try to see if the pinned place is the actual warehouse from the pic.
Thanks

I think it's the right place, but there's not much detail to get out of it. (clicky)

Check page 2.

Hit ctrl-N, and click advanced, and then in the location tab copy each. There may be an easier way, but I'm unaware of it.

I don't know what he's laughing at, other than the video I posted above, but Jerusalem is low resolution. You can see enough detail to make out that while the rest of the world was creating grid systems, they seemed to do a sloppy job adapting. Of course the central areas of town won't have a modern grid system (duh) but the outskirts where new developments are should. Oh well.

you mean a boring square raster grid?

Abu Ghraib Prison in Iraq, NOTICE HOW THERE IS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT IMAGE THAT LOADS AS AN OVERLAY for the camp grounds: 33°17'20.89"N, 44° 4'11.84"E

Jerusalem is blurred like military and other 'secure' sites. As are other Isreali landmarks I've noticed...

Thanks my friend, it looks like it is the right place.
That warehouse is huge. It was at the time(1979) the second
biggest of its kind, not in term of size but for its structure.
Despite its huge size, there isn't any post anywhere inside to support it. It is supported by several 3'X5'thick arcs like, made of small laminated 2"X1"X4'pieces of wood. Looks like the surface of a bowling alley. It contains, I don't remember how many tons of asbestos. I was the technician taking care that the machines, conveyor worked fine. I was wearing a type of an astronaut hat
with dust filter and fan inside worth 2,500$. I hope it saved me from the cancer related to asbestos.
Sorry to bother you with my long story but it's quite an amazing experience living in that lunar type of region.
I will try to post some pics I took from it at the time.

It was made by a meteor impact. Don't know if it's been proven, though.

That's an obvious one. Try to find things that are odd or not placemarked by many others.

What is this big yellow glob?

1 d 13'28.58"N, 49 d 05'12.27W

I would think it was a beach but it looks nothing like the rest of the landmass and you can see it all the way zoomed out in space. odd.

I didn't know we were trying to outdo each other. :dork:

We're not. The 'not placemarked' thing is concerning Keyhole BBS placemarks.
Synergy wrote:What is this big yellow glob?
It's where they have not updated to high resolution images yet. You'll find this in many places. Baghdad for example has a place where the images are high resolution, but where they join it's two completely different seasons, winter and summer.

I would imagine that it's ejaculate from the Amazon river

I see. Well that crossed my mind once or twice, but I keep leaning more towards Dave's ejaculation theory.

Dave's ejaculation has nothing to do with this.
