i have an exam at 2... avoiding revision... i could log into msn... but then I won't get ANY revision done (least here i'm having to wait for replies and end up reading some notes).

I'm gonna go intel and use a dothan chip I think, the damn thing is so powerful. Probably gonna buy this board: http://www.asus.com/products/mb/socket4 ... erview.htm

Turbanator wrote:one thing apple need to work on is their hard drives, the memory and cpu architecture is fast and powerful with plenty of bandwidth, but is bottlenecked by the hard drives and other data input sources. They don't even need to do something flashy like RAID, just use some high end 10,000rpm hds or some high density maxline 3's.
its always been that way tho

Maybe it's because they don't have a credit in Star Wars Episode III, but AMD does? BLAHAHA!

Totally nerdy, I know. When in Rome.

Yet another reason...
Yeah, totally. If Longhorn goes the way I think it's going, and since Microsoft is making it where you have to be on the current version of whatever to get critical updates (thus making it totally profitable for antivirus companies who will love the oncoming swarm of worms, trojans, ransom-ware, and viruses because of people not up to date who don't want to buy Windows XP2 or Windows 6 or whatever they're going to call it.) and they force this DRM bullshit on us so hard that I can't even download a funny soundclip of George from Seinfeld's answering machine without having to pay NBC to hear it every time, then even I might switch to Lin__-- I mean Mac OSXI.

Did you see in my original post the snip at the end about iWill's 16-core 8-way Opteron system with 128GB of RAM? It has more RAM than hard drive space.

What was that company making noise in 2001 or 2002 about RAM that eh... memorized similarly to ROM, but operated the same as RAM? They were saying they'd have only RAM in computers in a few years and no need for hard drives...

Also, what happened to that Israeli company that said they had a 25GHz CPU? Did the prototype get blown up on a bus?

serious note, i think the gigabyte drive is just using pc2700(iirc).

it has a battery pack that lasts for 16 hours or so, then will recharge when your comp is running.

so you could load windows on it i guess. maybe they will come out with a better power solution that will last longer.

It's 200MHz DDR. Not sure what speed that is...it's not PC1600, is it?

And on another note:
http://www.pcworld.com/news/article/0,aid,120913,00.asp

PC World suggests waiting 'till Longhorn to use a 64-bit version of Windows, not XP 64-bit. You can't argue with that source, Rep. You quoted them to start this thread.

Like you would know, when was the last time you "owned" anything.

Why don't you accept somebody's challenge? Oh you don't have it installed. Like that doesn't take 5 minutes to do. :dork:

What the hell are you talking about you complete moron?

I have q3 installed, the morons who are challenging me don't have it installed...understand yet?

If you have a problem with that we could just load the game and I promise you you'll shut the fuck up for the rest of your miserable life.
