Yes, Inspector EtOOL, you've cracked the case. Kimi Raikkonnen, multi-millionaire and 2007 F1 champion, had sex with my non-existent girlfriend. It's not that I don't like him because he's over-rated, nor is it because he's a drunk that tries to cover it up by pretending he's paying homage to James Hunt (whose jockstrap he couldn't carry in a suitcase), nor because his racing helmet has more of a personality than he does. Nope, it's because he fucked someone that isn't real.

If you ever wonder why posters here think you're a retard...

I'm not the one who went on a moronic rant with a minimal amount of prodding....

me the retard? lol...you're little hissy fit just makes me think that there is an even more personal reason why. Kimi beat you at something?

That's a rant now? Uh, ok there, genius. And it's YOUR, not YOU'RE, you idiot.

I guess this means that anytime anyone dislikes someone in the slightest that they've been somehow bested by that person. Yeah, Mitt Romney beat me in a douche-off, so I hate him. FFS YOU'RE (see the difference?) thick as a brick. :olo:

What does "banding" one's girlfriend entail, exactly?

I was typing on a phone, it was a typo. You must be pretty desperate to be grasping at typos and grammar after your four post whinge fest about kimi.

Calm down randy.

Kimi wins! my dream of a kimi championship without a win dies, but I'll take this instead.

he already had a beer at the team picture and when the boss told him to get rid of it he just kinda waved him off like "nah it's cool". what a boss.

Q: Kimi - your first victory since the 2009 Belgian Grand Prix. Tell us about your emotions at this time.
Kimi Raikkonen: Not much really.

Kimi on the podium on LIVE TV "Last time you guys was giving me shit because I didn't really smile enough."

Vettel in the same interview "It was obviously a chance to fuck it up and we didn’t do that"

Legends don't win races through attrition, opportunists do. Captain Cardboard certainly did a credible job of holding off Alonso, but there's no way in two hells he would have caught Louise. Hamilton's car doesn't quit, Kimi's second at best. Plus, without Vettel's penalty, Kimi may not have even been on the podium. I did laugh at the radio exchange on the cool-down lap, though.

Pits: "WOOHOOO! GREAT JOB KIMI!"
Captain Cardboard: "yesgreatjobthanksguys"

:olo:

Very entertaining race overall, but a bit too much carnage, IMO. The Rosberg/Karthikeyan crash could have been a LOT worse. If it had happened a moment later, Rosberg might have hit the barriers airborne ala Barrichello at Imola in '94. As it was Nico's wheel almost took Narain's head off, scary shit.
I feel kind of bad for Webber, you could tell he didn't have his head on straight after that horrible start. Doesn't excuse driving like a half a 'tard, but he ended up getting a little instant karma.

You want to talk about legendary? How about Vettel starting in the pits and finishing third? That's one HELL of a drive, and he's well on his way to becoming a legend. Kimi? Not so much.

Lots of luck involved with Vettel, as well as Kimi. Hamilton had the race in his pocket before a failure saw him, once again, denied the victory he deserved.

Vettel had the bonus of 2 safety cars to close up the pack which is how he was able to make his gains. No incidents and he would have been nowhere. It was the same luck that Kimi used to win the race.

Saying that Alonso was the best of the finishers for sure. That Ferrari is not a 2nd place car, but he stuck it there. Supreme skills. My respect levels are going up day by day for Super Brows

Not sure what race you watched, but I saw Vettel carving his way through the pack before the safety car came out the first time. No, he wouldn't have caught Hamilton either way, but no way he had "the same luck" as Kimi. The safety cars helped, certainly, but I'd say that's it.

Vettel caught a lot of luck on his run to 3rd place. It might seem harsh but legendary would have been putting it in front of alonso or challenging kimi. He crashed twice of his own fault and got bailed out by lucky timing with safety cars.

It was a good drive no doubt, podium from the pit lane would be, but just short of "legendary" imo. How many of his on track passes were for position with a car outside of the bottom 6?

Compare to Canada 2011 for Button...

Listen to the Legend calmly scythe thru the field http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJ6zTfX73a0

As far as I recall he passed Button, Grosjean and DiResta on track, can't recall any others than HRTs or whatever. Also half the field taking themself out help, Caterham almost got a 12 to tie Marussia.

He passed Button with nearly new soft tyres after being placed behind him after the safety car also. I am not saying it was all luck, of course not, but the moons aligned in his favour to give him a gentle push for sure. I mean, it took him 7 laps (I think it was 7) to get past Button who was on the slower compound tyres which is massively older than his. Not the sign of someone who was carving his way through the pack...

If you want legendary come backs look at Senna in Suzukua in 88, Schumacher in Spa in 95, Räikkönen in Spa in 05 or Button in Montreal in 11.

Those are drives where the driver was above and beyond anyone else by a country mile.

Vettels was good, but ultimately he was able to catch up to the pack thanks to the safety car.

Uh, that vid has nothing to do with his progress through the field. That was him being pissed off (justifiably so) about Ricciardo driving in a way he admitted was totally oblivious to anyone else's position. He said in a post-race interview that he had no idea Vettel was behind him.

Yes, there was a lot of a attrition, and if you think that me saying the Vettel is well on his way to being a legend is the same as me saying he IS a legend, well you're just stupid.

Hey genius, who's the one that started throwing around the word "legend" in this thread?

I'm not going to argue about it, take a look at this (really fucking awesome) lap chart I just found, draw your own conclusions: http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2012/11/05/2 ... ap-charts/

edit: Kimi's drive is much like his personality, pretty much flat. :olo:

I didn't mean it in a "he is now a legend of racing" kind of way, though you were not to know that. More along the lines of his dismissiveness of the situation. He knows what he had to do and he was awesome in dealing with it.

That is an awesome chart...but my point still stands in that he changed his tyres then gained 20 seconds because of the safety car. He got lucky.
