I wonder, anybody can confirm, but do the Police in these Asian countries still tear a little off the paper licence (infringement severity denotes how much is torn off I recall) until the drive has no more licence?

This happened to me in a parking lot. The way it went down is I was crossing the lot in an area designated as a crossing area, the car was comming towards me and came to a full stop AS I started crossing the lot. Once I was roughly in the middle of the road the car started accelerating. The only way I can describe what was going is that he was intentionally trying to run me over, it's like he waited for me to be in the ideal position so I'd have no option to avoid him which is exactly what went down. Had he not stopped in a fashion that seemed to indicate he was aware I was there and crossing I wouldn't have attempted to cross. The thing is too that in this particular lot, that spot is always occupied by pedestrians crossing, you'd have to be pretty stupid not to know, even if you'd never entered that parking lot.

I only later realized that dumbfuck must have stopped for some other reason while completely ignoring what was directly in front of him.
