I'm planning to trade in the TT (see 1st page).

I'm hoping to replace it with one of these:

But most likely I'll have to put reason ahead of preference, and I get one of these instead:

Neither is as fast as the TT, but oh well...

New year, new project. I don't think she'll be particularly fast, but I'm still excited. :owned:

PICS!

I drove a B5 S4 which was chipped and it was pretty quick. The synchro's in the tranny went and the stealership wanted $7000+ to replace it. Lesson: Fuck working on Audi's.

Nice. Although I'm rarely a fan of aftermarket exhausts. I'm still jealous.

Yeah, maintenance cost is my biggest beef with Audis. You can really get raped by it.

But I'm telling you that it does have awd. I don't know how much clearance you want, but it handles snow better than some suvs.

And too bad about what looks? That's one of the best looking cars on the road, imo. Fine if you don't like it.

AWD is generally an automatic system that is always on and it allows each wheel to receive variable amounts of power and spin at different rates. 4WD is what you have on off-road trucks where all four wheels each get an equal share of the power 100% of the time and spin at the same rate whenever 4WD has been manually engaged.

Caldina GTT.

A shitty looking estate car, that has the drivetrain of a Celica GT4.
260bhp 3SGTE engine - 4WD - VSC etc

Kinda nice car for me, does not attract attention, plenty of room inside for my girlfriend and dogs, but powerful enough to let me play with most of the cars I encounter on a day to day basis - I did get raped by an Impreza Sti recently though.

You know I never took any pics of my car? LOL. I guess I have to get to it, but I want to wait until I put on my new wheels.

Yea, the stealership will rob you, was it a 6-speed or TIP? I think a synchro job these days will cost around $3k.

What's wrong with aftermarket exhausts? It DOES help you know that? And the one I have is one of the more quiet ones compared to Borla's or AWE's. Here is a shitty youtube vid I have of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDhLFhbXcNs

And yes, my car is a fucking money pit... If I didn't have to spend money on the maintenance I would've gone to Stage 3 already with brand new K04 turbos.... I'm about to hit 75k miles and I will need to get a new timing belt done. Parts costs $300-400, and labor is fucking $1000. Goddamn German engineering....

And if anyone is interested, these are the wheels that I'm going to put on for the summer. These are the B7 RS4 replicas.

Will be quicker when I get the ignition coils uprated with some MSD packs, get a dump valve installed, switch to fully synth 10/60 and should stop faster when I've sourced and fitted some Wilwoods on bigger rotors.

I'm considering buying a VW Caravelle and trailer so that I can hillclimb.

On the wishlist of things that are a lot further away from happening:
Replace shocks with stiffer adjustable units
Replace intake piping with metal equivalents
Replace air filter with a K&N
Uprate to 3-bar injectors with a new MAP sensor
Switch out ECU and add O2 sensor for a closed loop
Chip + up boost to 0.9bar
Momo seats + harness

Waaaaaay off in the distance is a Garrett turbo upgrade. Too expensive at the moment would be 1.5k for the parts alone.

I also reckon the paint is going to start pinking in the next 12 months (it looks way worse in the photo than it does in person, but it'll head that way eventually). More expense :(
Single turbo set up I'm guessing? Which GT turbo upgrade are you looking at? GT28s or GT30 series? I'm currently spiking at 1.0 bar of boost with a Giac-X chip.
