Does this game ever reset, or is it permanently on, I have been playing for a while now, and have quite a few colonies, and never need to buy anything any more. I have tons of money, is there any way to keep it safe. Never attacked anyone yet, but have a huge defence.

Go on vacation and you can't be attacked (you can't play either).

yeah
Here you can activate the vacation mode if no fleets or armies are on their way to or from your towns.
Your player´s account will not be deleted if you are inactive for too long and your towns can´t be attacked. Your workers and scientists, though, are on vacation themselves and won´t work. In order to prevent abuse of the vacation mode, your vacation mode must take at least 48 hours. In this time you can´t play Ikariam.
After two days your vacation mode ends automatically when you log on to the game the next time.
if ya still wanna do it, just click option at the top of the page and scroll down.

I'm in the final phase of ending the game. Have about 175,000 in sulfur. Waiting to get about 300,000 in wood. When the time's ready, I'm going to create an army of gyrocopters, taking off all my workers at the lumber and resources, along with my scientists. Then I will be attacking the E T alliance. We'll see how it goes.

That sounds fun, I haven't gotten in to any of the alliance stuff, or any wars, or PVP. Just trading, and concentrating on expansion, and research. Just minor pests trying to attack me, I wiped one off the map.

What i hate about it is the waiting, and the further you get in to the game to more you are punished, the more you have to wait. Are there any bots for this game, that automate the waiting game, so you can plan out what you need to do, then enter it in to the bot, and let it wait the timers out and initiate those build/collect/sell commands. Let it sit out for a month, then you come come back and start actually playing the game.

I think you're missing the point.

Gyrocopters suck, why would you use them?

And I'm not sure how Union is #1. TBO has more points 2,609,467 vs 2,561,055.

The high score list is screwed up or something. Earlier it showed the union on top and no TBO anywhere. Now it shows TBO and no union. ???

The spreadsheet fails to take into account the 'hidden' upkeep of losing workers to the military who might otherwise be creating gold for the colony. This benefits the gyrocopter slightly:

There is also the benefit of slightly better stamina, although I don't know how that would integrate overall into the stats.

I am also curious as to whether the gyrocopter being a machina is a benefit or detriment. Does this mean the gyrocopter maintains stamina longer and does not need a cook? Or that the unit loses stamina just as quickly as human units and cooks don't have an effect.

There are two unit classes, Human and Machine. The difference determines the effectiveness of the Doctor's healing ability. Machines receive only 50% of the healing amount provided by the doctor to humans.
I'm still fuzzy on how exactly stamina works... :offended:

Oh, and what does the bold in the spreadsheet mean?

Crap. Nice find. I'll update the entire doc at some point.

edit: Wait... no, that's not a nice find. That only matters for the period of time it takes for you to recover the lost workers, which should make the difference trivial. You don't count those lost workers forever.

damn, i thought the citizens were used permanently with the military unit. nice find

so then what the hell is the point of the higher end military units if overall they are less cost efficient and battle worthy than lower end units? what a shit game.
