What you're missing out on here is the time those screenshots spend being displayed in the actual game. In the Xbox version that's somewhere round 1/60 of a second. In the PS2, it's more like 1 second :icon32:

For me, at least, there isn't anything really great about the PS2. Its old, slow, ugly and plays only a couple of games that i keep it for. All the games you suggested bar GT4 will be on xbox, but better. GTA:SA is on xbox with better visuals, etc etc.

I have the cube, because im a ninty fanboy. I love mario, zelda, metroid.

And you say "not many games" but i own all 3 consoles, and the DS.

I have about 20 games for my xbox, and about 15 each for my ps2 and cube. Out of those PS2 titles, i never play ANY of them, and most i keep just because i dont want to part with them (FF, metal gear etc). Out of the cube games, pretty much all of them i play all the time. (With the exception of mario sunshine, which is just not good. at all.) And out of the xbox ones, i play for online, or because its a great SP game.

So, for me at least, there just isn't anything the ps2 offers anymore. Like you, i also brought my ps2 for the likes of gta and metal gear 2, but those are on xbox, and better, so why bother any more? Plus, i cant use the ps2 pad for shit. Maybe for platform games, but for FPS games its the xbox pad all the way.
Eh, dont blame the PS2 for your shit hands...

Damn, you're missing out - there's far more than 15 decent PS2 titles out there. Then again, there's more than 20 decent Xbox ones... You need to start searching around - its about the gameplay man, get over the prejudice!

ITS NOT ABOUT TEXELS MAN!
Who said its anything to do with graphics? People here always say i'm all about the graphics. I just said i would rather play a snes game than a ps2 game, is THAT about the graphics?

Nothing on Ps2 pulls me in, and yes, the pad doesn't help.
I really think you should play a few more PS2 titles. For example, Ratchet and Clank 3 is well worth it, and has great replay value - its a masterclass in good fun game design.

Or try Devil May Cry 3, if you want a newer title - its one of the slickest titles i've seen in years, if not ever.

I've been playing SC:CT on the GameCube all week now and I have to admit it runs much better than I had thought it would. I'm really impressed with the Cube's ability to render graphics. I always thought the Cube was better than the PS2 though but not that good.

The original's better for FPS/3d action games but absolutely sucks for beat-em-ups

I prefer the s-controler for all games especialy fps games. I find the big one too bulky.
