So, Pete, if you are really interested in DNA - simple question for you to look up here. DNA is often referred to as the 'blueprint for life' So - what is it really a 'blueprint' for?
The function of DNA is surprisingly simply when you get right down to it.

Thanks my friend but I think I could't endorse it.
I am just an amateur and don't know much about science or biology as most of you in here.
I am not as you or tnf that instructed. I am a self autodidact type of guy. Just interested in things I haven't studied at school.
Do you want to name it yours?
Pete
nah, i aint no scientist! I just thought cos you are intersted in science you could call it something, like that. I'm sure its not the name that counts, its what's inside it that really counts

gl with it

Good Night people, i am off to bed, it is 3:05am and i'm nackered!

Also look up stuff like transcriptional regulation, post transcriptional gene silencing by RNAi, etc...molecular biology is a fascinating world.

No No it's a good one, I said it reminded me of W5 That's all.
I just think about labelling each letter with something...
As WHO HA - W= World, H= ?, O= Odd H= ? A= Answer Something like that.

Stayed after work grading unit tests on protein synthesis. Then went to the doc because I have food poisoning. 101 fever. And the other fun stuff that goes with food poisoning.
Many bathroom breaks today. Had to 'run down to the office for a few minutes' during every class.

Too bad I have access to Google.
I remembered Lloyd Robertson but not the girl's name.
Usually I remember the girl more than the man.
New for 2005, CTV News anchors Lloyd Robertson and Sandie Rinaldo will take on the responsibilities of hosting W-FIVE in addition to their roles anchoring Canada's most-watched newscast, CTV News with Lloyd Robertson and CTV News with Sandie Rinaldo.
But what is the thing about this anyway?

Sorry to read this but....
I am some kind of a maniac about bacteries... Hand washing many many times a day, cleaning my mouse and keyboard, doors handles...
So, if you had a kind of a sickness, I think that food bacteria has nothing to do with what I want to explain in here though...But should you have a simple cold... Just doing those grading, touching the papers of all your students...Would have this been enought to transpose it to your students?

No...
Cold viruses, as far as I recall, don't last long outside of a host in a dry environment, and I believe the flu falls into the same category.
Bacterial stuff is a bit different - but it really depends on the bug.

I hope you don't go crazy with the antibacterial soap, pete. That's not a good thing to overuse unless it's neccessary. :icon25:
And, since tnf is here, and knows far more about molecular than I do, I'm off to bed. Good luck with your plants, pete. :icon14:

In fact, just last week after spending the day renovating one of my Parent's apartment. There were no liquid soap left so I used the antibacterial one instead. Man, you know the real one with alcohol in it. I didn't know I had soo many cuts on my hands and the alcohol really burnt them.

Because we are getting a bit out of the chromosomes one, I suggest we start a new one. With the spring coming...Well, I know it is spring already but here not yet alive.
Anyway, I would like if we could experiments on our own each side some experiment with plants , flowers, fruits or vegetables.
Grow them only with water VS Beer, Wine, Liquor.
Try the electro thing...
See you in my next topic.
How should I call it? Any suggestions?Pete
