mm.. but they added everything except the sp part from the expansion,so basically you dont need the expansion unless you want to play the sp... all maps,the new netcode,weapons etc from Battle out of hell are in the patches for the regular PK.

And it rocks for it. Was messing around on it last night. No lag, no FPS hit, nothing, all with everything on max at 1280x1024.
The game is fucking awsome.
Know why?
Because in the SP part, some of the monsters use 2048x2048
FUCKING HELL THATS WHY IT LOOKS LUSH THEN.

The only way you should be able to justify 350 MB patches is if it's got 100 MB of high quality lesbian porn tossed in ..

tempted. love a good sp fragfest. i like co-op fragging more though
my new computer is due soon which would be able to run it quite good (i suspect my current would have some stuttering here n there) so who knows!
is the demo patched up? i understand the original demo was about as good as a beta..

I think the demo is patched to 1.3 or something... so dont base your buy on the demo(weird lag and poor hitboxes).. this game is worth the $20 or so.

there are 2 demos, try the second one. There is a part where you fight like 40 baddies and some are up high around you and there is fire etc. where it drops to lik 25fps and unlike in other games you can really feel the drop and the 25fps.

You feel the drop in painkiller more because it slows your game down to a crawl, it doesn't miss any frames.
BTW, i've played through the SP and haven't got a single slowdown sp far i'm so happy

Even with the radgametools, which lets me watch the video files directly, the movies are still shittily choppy and unviewable...weird, because other games that use the same format for their movies (like Pirates) all work fine.

The radgametools tool will let you convert them to avi files, so I tried that, but none of my media players (windows media player and quicktime) would open the avi.
I know fuckall about codecs and whatnot, so I wouldn't even know where to start looking for ways to make them play the file.
