This thread was fine with real questions and real experience with these screens until you showed up.
Then it got spammed an entire page over how "LCDs are dumb."

That's all I get from the dozen or so posts you've made in this thread.
And who uses the term vagina as an insult to somebody.

I do play games, and most of them do not support the native resolution of my LCD. But I find that my screen does a very nice job of resampling the image to a lower resolution; in fact, I can't even notice that the image has been resampled unless I take my contacts out and inspect my screen from less than 1" away. Again, I can understand how this could be an issue for folks who primarily use their computer to play games, but I am not in that category so a fixed resolution really isn't a 'negative' to me.

you are right. it definitely is an issue to 'folks'. i don't want my screen to do a "very nice job of resampling" anything. i want my screen to project the image as it is intended to be seen...AT ANY resolution.
once LCDs reach the level of exact color reproduction/no native resolutions/no response times...i'll think about investing in one.
*warning* don't forget this is just my opinion. *warning*

I'm going to call Dell and see if I can get this new coupon rebate applied to my purchase. They told me I could take this LCD back with no questions asked within 10 days of receipt to a local Dell store. So I guess they'll credit me the money or I'll bring it back and order a new one. :icon31:

Dell's ship notifications are slow and inaccurate. Mine told me that delivery was estimated between Oct 17th and 19th.

I suggested to my wife that I just keep the 19" along with the 20.1". That went over like a fart in church.
