Sweet Tooth. 7/10.

Kinda weird but also kinda neat.

Yeah, I’m really enjoying Loki.

One complaint: the low camera angles. They can tone that down a bit…

It's kinda cute and adult at the same time.
Enjoyed watching it with the nephews.

Yeah it's a weird balance.

Started watching Manifest. It's like watching a good idea badly implemented and poorly acted so far...

I wonder how the production-design could come up with all that very actual imagery.
How did they predict all those details? Or how much footage has been shot after March/April 2020?
The masks the extras are wearing or the toilet-paper Gus lands in jumping into the train, the Anti-Vaxxers... Several other small details no art-director could have come up with before our "new reality".

Those details made me laugh and wonder.

They can re-do scenes and add stuff like that in. Not saying they did but it's a possibility.

Yep, I know about re-shoots. About when they (might) become necessary and when they are actually done.
Thing is the series is 7 hours of end-product. That's a lot of re-shoots, editing, post-work etc.

And yet it was published during the absolutely best time :).

Re: Currently watching..... on the TV, forgot to mention currently watching a TV series Forever (2014).
A 200-year-old man works in the New York City Morgue trying to find a key to unlock the curse of his immortality.
IMDB

Really a good watch IMO. Ioan Gruffudd plays the part so well. You may remember him from the Hornblower shows. Get a chance, give it a go

Seems I have to find El Camino.
To be sure here, is it the follow on movie I've heard was to happen after Jesse escaped the M60 in the car boot controlled by the (what) garage door opener?

Yeah, it's on Netflix. Felt it was a good follow-up story with closure.

Also, if you're ever looking for a title try http://www.justwatch.com and it will show which providers it is available on.

Loki

Really well done. And of course it ties in the rest of the MCU and appears to setup the next phase of films.

I don’t see it talked about, but the music in Loki is a real banger…

Watched the first 6 episodes of Rick & Morty season 5. While I enjoy watching it, I find that I can't even remember what happened two episodes back.

Final Space season 3

Not sure if I discussed Final Space here before, but it's an excellent series. It's got the quirky weirdness of Rick & Morty, the humor of Futurama, a visual style that's a blend between many different influences (ranging from Futurama to Akira style anime) and the occasional seriousness and heavyness of dark psychological drama's.

It can go from epic fights between giant godlike entities that punch each other straight through entire planets all the way to the main protagonist getting intensely insulted because a cookie dispenser robot won't release one if its oblong shaped treats.
We can have one of the main characters being painfully tortured into divulging his dark past to his friends, book-ended by scenes showing a confused computer AI getting fascinated by the fact his arms keep falling off.

It's brilliant stuff.

Being late to the party, I'm currently burning through Archer, which is pretty great.

I'm also watching season 3 of Doom Patrol, which is still one of my favourite things on telly, and doesn't show any signs of letting up on the weirdness any time soon.
Brendan Fraser's going through a bit of a personal renaissance at the moment, and I think it's in no small part thanks to his performance in Doom Patrol.
The rest of the cast are just as fantastic to watch, outside of Cyborg, who's just too boring and normal compared to the other misfits.
The addition of Michelle Gomez to this season is a real treat too. Fantastically funny and drop-dead gorgeous.
And they let her use her Glaswegian accent :D

And I watched the first two episodes of Foundation over the weekend, which is pretty engaging. I'd read comments that it's too ponderous, but I'm not finding that myself. Yes, it's very talky with not a huge amount of action, but that's fine by me. The sheer spectacle makes up for it. I also think the ideas need the long format and a lot of narrative exploration in order to fully understand what's going on.
There's visual influences from all over sci-fi here, including but not limited to Star Wars (the opening shot's a land speeder), Dune (the imperial pomp and imagery is straight out of Lynch's film), 2001 (vault=monolith) and Homeworld (seriously, those jump ships are cribbed wholesale from Homeworld).
The second episode's cliffhanger really has me intrigued for episode 3.

I must say, there's a lot of really great telly to watch at the moment
