i would not recommend the wifi addon for 360, apparently it has some problems with open NATs.
if you wanna go semiwireless, i'd look into dLAN adapters. cheaper and more stable.

I've heard there's a new wireless adaptor you can buy for the xbox that's better than their old one. Also, you can even hook up your own wireless router to the xbox if you have one kicking around.

I had mine on wireless for a long time but finally hardwired it and put a rug over the cable... I think it's much better this way

I randomly get disconnected at times, but it happens pretty rarely and I never have any problems reconnecting. It doesn't happen often enough for me to tell you to completely avoid it, but it happens. For whatever reason it happens more often during single player games when it doesn't really matter, I'll just get a message saying I've been disconnected from live.

you can use a wireless router in bridged mode. half the price of that POS adapter.

I'm not joking. The fact i can work outdoors in the sun or at the airport etc on wifi pisses me off. what i really need is a wire dragging around.
same with the 360. i want to be locked into a position near a ADSL or cable port within my own home.

Lots O' wireless... (2) Personal Laptops, (1) work laptop, iphone, Sirius Radio, printer, PS3 and Archos.

But I'm sure this wireless thing is just a fad.

But why have all the information transmitted in every direction when you can direct it via cable straight to where you want it to go??? It's such a waste right?

I still prefer cabling when I can though.

I'm sorry I wasn't aware you gamed while at the airport?

Fuck off you fat cunt, you know damn well that the 10 foot gap from your router to the 360 thats likely in the same bloody room/house doesn't need to be wireless. Jesus, obsess much?

Anyway back on topic, finally hit level 40, although I only got it Friday so thats not too bad...

My router is up stairs with my PC and my games machines down stairs with my TV. Unless I am an Elf then my house is slightly bigger than 10 feet, as I am sure Doombrains is.

Was there any need for the "Fuck off you Fat Cunt" bit? You sound upset because we disagree with you :(

Same here

It's true though that when you want to push 1080p HD video over your network, WiFi is still severely lacking in bandwidth.
