best part was when he jumped in the back on the jeep and opened up on the driver with the mounted fucking anti-aircraft machine gun.

Last nights drive-in double feature:
Wall-E : 9/10
Animation was excellent, story was good, characters were cute. Best thing Pixar has made since finding nemo. No complaints.
The Incredible Hulk: 6/10
Above average but not really great. The CG hulk was much better than I was expecting and Ed Norton rules. Everyone else is pretty mediocre and the movie kept flipping back and forth between fun and cheese-ball. Over all; satisfying entertainment.

Ghost in the Shell : 8 / 10
This movie would have gotten a 9 from me had I not known the ending already from when I was doing research on it and Masamune Shirow for several art projects.
Regardless, I tried watching this from the perspective of a person who didn't know what the hell was going on. I also kept in mind that this wasn't going to be like the Stand Alone Complex series because this was the first iteration of the GITS storyline and it was just now introducing the whole concept of this future full of cyborgs and ghost-hackers.
The animation was excellent considering the year this was made. The environment was amazing. I actually had to pause in some scenes to look at the art.
The story was classic GITS with, as always, so much politics tied in that it bordered on the edge of boring.
I was a little disappointed with the character development since we don't really learn too much about any of the characters involved.
However, Kusanagi, as always, is just so damn badass to watch in action.
Unfortunately, the dvd I bought (brand new) skips in a couple scenes so I have to go take it back.

Rambo (2008): 4/10 The shoot 'em up aspects were good...but it just felt too formulaic and I became bored during several stretches. I like Stallone generally but not in this.
Hard Candy: 7/10. Very good. Ellen Page is quite a talent. Normal folks will need a shower afterwards; paedophilic viewers will likely burst into flames at about the 60 minute mark.

I don't know if it's a seven in my book, it had it's cool factor at points, but if it wasn't for the 'lil twist at the end I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much.

Equilibrium - 5/10 For a futuristic dystopian flick, it was fairly predictable and boring, with a few minutes here and there of action and intrigue. Meh.
Trailer Park Boys - 7.5/10 Maybe my expectations were too low, but this turned out to be a pretty good spoof of "life on the lot," where the funniest parts are seeing how petty and simple the characters' dreams are.
The Sasquatch Gang - 6/10 From the guy who did Napolean Dynamite, this was a little disappointing. One of the best parts of ND was that was an ambling story that didn't really feel formulaic in any way - this one had a love story that seemed to be just a little too contrived. And parts of the movie were pretty funny (there's a very brief cameo of Heder in it), but most of them were overacted, as opposed to the subtle, almost accidental-feeling humor in ND.

Rambo - Awesome. Amazingly not as gory as I thought, but with a damn fine story. Its not just a Rambo flick, but it really hit a level with me. Very good film.

You're fucking retarded.
Guys getting cut in half or turned to mush from a 50 caliber machine gun...guys getting impaled through the face or the side of the head with an arrow....people blown up from landmines in a spray of gore...people getting decapitated...legs blown apart as the weight of the victim comes down on the injury...someone getting their throat ripped out with a bare hand...intestines, arms and eyeballs flying through the air...children being shot or slowly stabbed with bayonets...people getting hands and legs chopped off with machetes with blood spraying everywhere...even a priest braining someone with a rock...but hey it's not as gory as you thought?
And it "hit a level with you"?
You're a fucking mass murderer in waiting.
