I didn't see it from the beginning but it was good.

It had great colour; I think it was remastered.

It had great models and animation in it. Models, not CGI like they do now.

It looked better than films made now. I think they used better film stock back then cause you could see everything was well done. Maybe they used better lenses aswell.

It had good looking actors in it; none of this ugly bunch you get nowadays.

(The story, well it's Sinbad, an adventure.) Do you like those kind of films?

How many Sinbad films are there? It's Sinbad The Sailor isn't it? Is that the name of one of the films or is that the name of the original story?

I did a search on imdb.com for "Sinbad" and a lot of results came up; I'm not sure how many of them are based on the traditional story or stories of Sinbad. I know the name Sinbad The Sailor, that's one of the films that came up, in the results, but I don't know if that's the name of the original story or not, it might be.
that's a good one, yes. sounds like you watched it on network tv though. grab the dvd since there's a bit you're missing in the pan and scan version.

It's unbearably slow and chock-full of bogus arabs. Plus the pointy-stick-waving Harryhausen fights had really been overdone by that point. More of a 5/10

I'm pretty sure it was in widescreen. I am interested in getting the DVD though.

Evil Dead 3, or "Bruce Campbell Vs. Army of Darkness".
Still a fun movie, but mainly because of the overblown cheese factor and Bruce's one-liners.
"Gimme some sugar baby" still makes me giggle.

As in, shame about THE ENTIRE MOVIE. The reason why people hate it is that it's one of those films that looks like it's going to be OK and then totally blows it. Audience reaction to this movie timeline goes:

PRODUCT PLACEMENT----hmm, interesting----nice image----quite exciting----holy shitty CGI----unconvincing breakdown----nonsense patronising bird----OMG what a fucking trite ending.

lol, I love it when he delivers that line.

Dead by Dawn is my favourite comedy/horror, by a long shot. I'd say over the years I would have watched it at least 20 times.

Gone Baby Gone: 7/10. Casey Affleck has better range than his brother...which probably isn't saying much. He did a nice job here. Decent story.

American Gangster: 6/10. Competent but forgettable. By-the-numbers in every respect.

Michael Clayton: 7/10. Could have been an 8 or even a 9 with greater development of Clooney's character. Tom Wilkinson and Tilda Swinton deserve their Oscar nods...but the movie, and Clooney, do not.

Michael Clayton = 8/10 - Brilliant performances wrapped in an interesting story.

The Assassination Of Jesse James blah blah blah blah blah holy fucking shit how long is the title of this movie = 1/10 - Without a doubt THE most boring "high expectation" film I've ever seen in my life. I really wanted to like this movie because it has some terrific actors and parts of it where filmed in my home town. Good performances (why it gets a 1) but utterly, utterly worthless on any imaginable scale in terms of entertainment value.

Fracture = 7/10 - An entirely predictable film but Anthony Hopkins grabs this movie by the balls and squeezes hard.

Jumper - meh/10

I was thinking of Anakin Skywalker the whole time. How are they going to cast him and Samuel Jackson in the same movie again, where Samuel Jackson is swinging some kind of "magic stick" around like a jedi?

Hayden Christensen just can't act. He did okay in the Star Wars movies because all he had to do was pout and act like an only child who didn't get the birthday present he wanted. I'll be amazed if he ever makes a decent movie again.
