Hmmmmmmmmmm... I would have to say that in this generation, Resident Evil 4 is at the top, but then again I cant say X game was better than Y because I like some types of games in different ways to others. How can i compare a first person game to, say, an overhead 2d one?

In recent times...

Resi 4 was the best third person type game.
Riddick was the best First person game.
Zelda Minish Cap was the best 2d.
Mario 64 DS the best platformer.
Zelda WindWaker the best adventure.
Burnout 3 OR Ridge Racer the best racer.

The game was short but the graphics wasn't what did it for me, it was the blend of gameplay, the way you could hide in the shadows (Something REALLY missing from Doom 3) and then surprise the enemy in the most crazy ways. The way i saw it, Riddick should be just been an awful, awful game, but it somehow wasn't, and it rocked.

indeed, the game overall was great... it lived up to HL1 when it came to the story line, and how the traps and etc where set...

but i do agree that it is reletivly short, but thats why "The Aftermath" is comming out, to compleate the Story...

Aftermath will do anything but complete the story
