ESReality.com front page mentions the 2 quake 4 vids, but also says:
"Later on today, we will be making a further video with someone playing who knows how to play Quake!, which means the physics and gamespeed should be more evident than the files posted today."
was that a nail gun i saw? if it was i hope it's like the q1 nail gun and not that sorry excuse that we saw in TA. judging from the way it started spinning it seems like it might be more akin to the q1 days.

The game does look good though, and I'm looking forward to seeing more about it.
The one above thats labled ad "grenade launcher" is infact the hyperblaster. The nailgun has a spinning barrel, we saw it tear through a room of strogg in the old old old first video of Q4. It fires energy based projectiles like the hyperblaster, not nails, making it a pointless weapon because the hyperblaster already does that. but the HB projectiles are blue now Hmm...
The GL is shown in the longer clip, as is everything else except the bfg and blaster.

Yeah, ala Quake 3, so its exactly the same.
I knwo the blaster is there, because its been shown in mags, but i've never seen the gauntlet. All I can think is thatm aybe they switch the two around between game modes? So the blaster is in SP, and the gauntlet is in MP? Because we all know how useless the blaster was in MP in Quake 2
Mr.Magnetichead wrote:Yeah it's highly possible. I mean if you play these videos next to the E3 2005 trailer it looks like two totally different games.
Which leads me also to believe that the HUD's are different for MP and SP. The hud here is VERY MP style, its all colour coded, etc etc...
