it's nice but it's like 20' widescreen meaning it's no taller height wise (screen real estate) then a 17 standard inch monitor, you just gain an inch or two on both sides..

since the diagnol point from one side to the other is wider instead of a 45 degree angle it's about 30 degrees.

Oh and I've personally sent back 7 1905s, 3 1705s (i think, it was the curren 17") and 1 2001s.. dell's 4:3 quality is fucking terrible, especially since they send you a refurbished screen

Get a Dell tnf.. if you get a coupon (which pop up all the time) I think you can get a 20" widescreen for about $400

I don't know about a 20 inch dell for 400. Here is their 2100FP. $749.00 - I don't see them dropping it over $300.

i don't know of any current titles that are not anamorphic. sure, early titles aren't, but most of those that are worth a crap have been re-released anamorphic and more often than not, "special" editions.

even if the dvd is NOT anamorphic, you get some vertical stretch which can easily be remedied using the zoom feature.

comes with a DVI cable too - i've noticed that some don't...saw it today - i really like the xbrite feature - some folks don't though.

I have the Samsung 213T, it's a 25ms LCD and I game on it just fine. But if you've got the cash and want the best, buy the one with the lowest "ms". Nothing higer than 16ms would be my advice. Though you're going to have trouble finding LCDs larger than 19" without breaking the bank.

Well - I ended up going with a Sony with the XBRITE feature. It's personal preference, but I really like how bright and vivid it makes the colors.

Now I am driving myself nuts trying to get the settings exactly how I want them.

It's an 8ms response time. I went with a 17 inch one. I didn't want to spend much more than this one was, and the smaller size is a good fit for my cramped desk.
