They added a few new tricks, like the knifes and melee shit you can do. They also added a shit loads of new areas and puzzles.
What do you think? Damn sexy game isn't it

Yeah I'm loving the remake. The lighting makes it downright scary at times.

The only thing i dont like is the shadows can seem very fuzzy at times...
However there is this one section where you go through a door, and the next camera angle is right in front of you, and its all blue frm the night light through the window... Probably the best graphics in a game ever in that scene.

Speaking of, are there any more concrete infos on the cost of the revolution and the charges on the emu and roms?
I can't quite believe it, but I'm almost sold on the notion of having all the old nintendo roms on it alone. The only thing that might make me change my mind is if they decide to do something really crazy and charge a ton of money for the roms.
And the way I see it, the rev. won't probably support 'standard' roms you can snag of the net, because N said they will support 'graphical enhancements' to the games, so seeing they will have an advanced emulator and use some different type of rom support (and possibly heavily encrypted).
Otherwise I would just download shit load of them from the net and hook em up to the rev. =D

Thats precisely what I did. Haven't even touched Metroid Prime. Been playing SSX3 and RE1. Oddly enough, Shrek2 isn't a bad game. It's simple yet challenging.
Do not get Mario Party 5. It has an amazing FIVE mini-games to go along with the utterly wank game modes and then they sprinkled it with shitty UI.

Nothing on the costs yet, except that Nintendo is planning on a low price point... far lower than the PS3. nVidia actually said that the PS3 would be "expensive".

It's already been mentioned that the classic games probably won't be free.

Thats another thing that pissed me off. The cube controller does jack shit other than look cool. The ps2 chainsaw actually has a tilt thingy in it so if you tilt it, lean tilts it onscreen... Argh...

Did you folks play RE0? Not quite as good as RE1 but still a fine game. The thing that it lacked though was zombies coming back to life in stronger form after you'd killed them.
Running out of petrol to burn the bodies in RE1 added a lot of tension.

RE0 was another one of capcom's experimental sandbox games
they made a nice new engine and UI for RE1, and then they threw all but the engine out for RE0.
it was supposed to answer a lot of unanswered questions from RE1, but other than a view of the mansion at the end it has nothing to do with 1. the only questions answered were those asked in the game.
and no itemboxes == :thumbdown:.
did i say it had no scares whatsoever ?

Yes but you have to admit when your running along the top of the train in the rain, it fucking owns visuals wise. :icon32:

Remember it was N64 bound originally, I wonder how that scene looked on that.
Resi 4 update: 10 and a half hours into it and again, STILL on disc 1. I know this is gonna interrupt my weekend

Talking about toilet activities, im dissapointed that RE4 has not made me "RARRGHH OMFG SHITMYPANTS ZOMBIE!!!" like in RE1 (well, not yet anyway). But this is one of the only games ive played which keeps you on the edge. Well worth the money. :icon32:
