I'd love to know what kind of cleaner I'd need to clean up my front bumper. Fucking thing is always caked with bugs and it takes me hours to clean them off and even then it's not as nice as I'd like.

Clay bar dude

I bought the Mother's 2.0 clay bar and it's pretty great. More durable and easier to use than the traditional clay. Just keep it lubricated with spray wax and it should get rid of all the bug guts contaminating your paint.

We have a product here called Bar's Bugs and they say t is especially formulated for the Australian Outback but you'd have something like that where you're at no doubt

Personally, when washing the car, I wet the nose first, do the wheels/tyres, wet the nose again then start top down, panel/side at a time and finish on the nose/bumper. By then the bugs and crap have been wet some time and come off easily. Not a problem.

Can't say I have ever use a clay bar but yes, I'd try that

I'd use a Traffic Film Remover and a Citrus pre-wash before you go in with any form of contact wash, even a clay bar with lube. You'd be surprised at how well those will work with a bit of dwell time and a rinse at pressure.
