Pimping ain't easyDoombrain wrote:BallerDon Carlos wrote:The blacks on an OLED are incredible, but the nits do not go as high. LG claim 800 on the 7 series but the QLED Samsung can do a theoretical 2000 nits, but the blacks are nowhere near as good. Depends what you want; for me there wasn't a choice to make after seeing them one after another.
I went 55 inch and paid £2000, which people bawk at until they realise it's the E series, not the B or C series. You'll struggle to get the E6 now; pretty much isn't available from anywhere.

Any burn-in after 2 years don?
I stumbled across this article a while ago. They're adding gsync support to the 9 series.

No screenburn for me, which is nice. Still impressed with the colours and blacks. Cracking TV.
Yeah I saw the nvidia bit as well; that's a nice little bonus to be fair.

I did it.
Now we wait for gsync firmware update.

Oh boy - you are in for a treat.
Do you have a 4k player? If so, I recommend Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Pacific Rim (original) on 4k disc. Properly shows off the colours that the screen can produce.

Yeah, i’ve seen a few..GoG2, Dunkirk, Blade Runner and some dolby vision stuff on netflix. Absolutely amazing.
I’m probably going to use it for gaming more though since it has 120hz and VRR. I loaded up Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The HDR and pure blacks in the opening cave sequence blew me away.
I’m looking for a displayport1.4->hdmi2.1 converter but i don’t think they make them yet. Until then no 4k 120hz or 10bit color.

Guardians 2 should have been Dolby Vision on disc as well, hence the recommendation. Dunkirk is a beaut too, especially sound wise.
That TV will continue to impress you for years to come; OLED is stunning
