Sadly no. Not that I'm making excuses (I totally am) but I just didn't have the time to invest to accomplish a better lap. There was still progress to be made I felt but achieving a faster time would have required time I simply don't have while raising a family.

I suspect most people that set times in the top 100 probably spent many hours on the track as I did. In total I probably spent about 8 hours over 4 days which is only 2 hours a day and overall probably half of that time is spent on loading screens so in roughly 4 hours of playing I managed to beat roughly 79,900 other players and got within throwing distance of 1st.

In comparison when I got good at quake 3 I spent roughly 4 hours practicing on custom maps I created at 1.3 x the normal speed and 4+ hours playing pubs online followed up by a few hours playing on LAN's.

I thought I'd get a top 20 time though because I was looking at the wrong clock. I was looking at my lap time vs my total time. Since the contest was for a fastest lap I thought lap time was the one being measured but I was incorrect, it was total time which was about a second slower since I started a few meters behind the start line.

Alright girls, so this game is pretty awesome. Definitely a step up from Forza 5 which was pretty meh in my opinion.

One thing I really like about this game is the new leagues. When you play in this mode you get placed in a league that corresponds with your skill level and you compete in that league for points and the number 1 spot of course.

I really love how they're handling it so far with different class vehicles to race. Each league is only open for a certain amount of time and is only accessible certain times of the week/day.

Right now there's a B class league so I'm creating all sorts of B class vehicles to race with which I love doing. There's a few nitpicks though like being able to change your assists in the lobby would be nice as opposed to having to back out, go all the way back to single player mode, load a race and THEN be able to change it there. sucks.

Otherwise though it's a stellar game, the rain driving is like nothing else you've ever played and that's saying a lot coming from someone like me. Go over 80km's/h in a deep puddle and yep, that's how you hydroplane. Totally changes the wet racing scene, frig this makes most rally racers look bad honestly.

Never played it... too many games trying to do the same thing lately.

They need to release a full on driving sim that has more advanced vehicular destruction models. I saw a prototype engine recently that looks phenomenal but no one seems to have picked it up to make a game out of it.
