I think sys0p hit the nail on the head, Kracus is way insecure.
However, I do agree about the building of tolerance. I've been there...

Love you, But you're wrong. Tolerance is a thing. I'd love to say "well heres how much I used to smoke and how much i smoke now" but its honestly pointless. Because it could be debated I smoke more because my habits changed etc or how im smoking, or what out of, or how much in edibles etc.
I will say though, Theres no need for month long T breaks though.

Smoke a half ounce in one day BY YOURSELF and get back to me. You obviously don't know shit. I figure you probably smoked a dimebag a day and thought you were out of control. Fuckin amature.
ok mr tiger blood

you're banging half ounce bags and finishing them because that's how you roll

As has been said, it's not physically addictive, just habitually addictive. So is sugar, caffeine, and pretty much any other vice used regularly. It's way easier to break a habitual addiction, though.

I'm glad this didn't happen to me when I quit for a few months a year or so ago! Although back then I was smoking mostly ditch weed with low potency. My guess is you'd have the same problem if you tried to cut caffeine out of your routine.
Κracus wrote:I wish I only smoked a gram a day. I've smoked a half ounce in a day, horrible headaches btw, don't recommend.
I go through about an 8th a week, so... half a gram a day I guess, and that's over an 8-hour period. I get headaches every once in a while, but I chalk that up to lazy grinding. I don't bother to get every last stem out of my buds, but I pay for it when I smoke. And it's worth it for the benefits I get. I have extreme nerve pain in both legs, and the weed helps a ton. So much so that last April I finally convinced my doctor to sign the form needed to get a medical MJ license here in VT. It doesn't do much to make the pain go away, per se, but I get in a mindset where it just doesn't bother me anymore, which is just as good.

Uhh, not sure where you're getting that info, but building up a tolerance to weed has been established as common knowledge for a long time now. Like decades. I know I've definitely built up a tolerance. I'm pretty sure every smoker on this forum has their own anecdote. I think you're conflating two different facts about delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol. There is ample data out there showing that you can't overdose on weed because of the way it affects your body, but tolerance is managed by a different part of the body.

i'm actually genuinely interested in this now (i emailed a friend who's a lecturer in pharmacology specialising in cannabinoids to get a simple answer - no reply yet though dammit) because this is not in my experience at all - and i smoked a fuck-ton back in the day

I did the math, I go through about 14 grams in 5 days on average when I'm trying to be conservative so that's roughly 2.8 grams a day which sounds about right. I'm living with the family now so I've slowed down considerably but briefly last year I was living apart from them for this job and I smoked a lot more then out of sheer boredom. I also have a medical license to smoke it but I never use it since they shut down the dispensary they had here at one point.
As for Salvia Divinorum I've tried that too. Did not jump out of any windows.

Nearly 3 grams a day? Jesus how do you get anything done?
I'm honestly wondering how the quality compares to the stuff we get here. I do know a few folks who smoke about as much as that (i reckon), but their lives are a goddamn mess without exception; completely incapable of maintaining stable relationships, jobs... generally not growing up... you name it.

I think that's more to do with the individual than the substance. IE: they were lazy and prone to substance dependencies to begin with.
I honestly don't get lazy when I smoke. I tend to smoke before doing an activity, whether it's chores around the house or playing a video game. I find it makes doing whatever I'm doing more fun for obvious reasons.
As for the quality I can't smoke swag, it just gives me headaches. I need to smoke the primo stuff just to get anything out of it.
For me, it's changed my life. I used to be a very anti social indvidual. I had a horrible social life and I was just simply too shy to meet people. Weed changed everything for me. After I started smoking I became more easy going, happier in life and I just generally socialized a lot more. Mostly through meeting other smokers. I feel like if I hadn't started smoking I'd probably be alone and miserable.
Instead, I have a great family a nice job a GTI

and some toys I enjoy a lot and officially as of today I'm buying my first house.

Haha, that's just straight up addict talk isn't it. It's not me, it's them! My substance of choice works wonders for me and all the trouble other people reportedly have with it are just because of inherent defects in their personalities. Me, i have everything under control and what's more; if i ever quit i'd be lonely, miserable and unsuccesful. Man, if someone would say something similar about their drinking habit you'd probably laugh him out of town.
Here's something; I challenge you to stop smoking for 2 months, just to see if what you claim is true. Might be fun right, seeing if your ganja rationalisation is based on actual fact? If not, you might have simply grown up in the meantime and i absolutely garuantee you will see further amazing personality changes, all for the better. And if yes, carry on smoking by all means - but realize that what goes for you does not go for well over 95% of heavy pot smokers.

Christ i sound like some kind of stick-up-arse person. Look, i like a little drugs myself now and then and i've had my own issues with weed in the past, but i don't really care if you keep smoking or not to be honest. It's just that your rationalisation is the exact same horseshit i hear on a daily basis from our clients.
Hit me right in the allergy zone you did!

No I actually get what you're saying. I don't think I'm dependent on it to be who i am today though. IE: I would be just fine without it. What I'm saying is without it bringing me out of my shell I'd still be in it.
I do think there's a psychological addiction to it but I disagree that it makes people lazy. That's a personal thing I think.

That's addict talk right der.
It makes you content with whatever lifestyle you live n all, you may not be a lazy bum, but without a constant intake your body would function better without it, underlying medical conditions aside.
If it does make you more pro active and you were unhappy before smoking then I would have to say you have a medical condition.
