strum the rythm, i'll dedicate a week or so to learn the lead because that is one of my favorite songs. I'll get it eventually

seems like i've listened to this song for a week straight and it won't grow old.
keep it to one song, chumps.
Close! For me it's "I never came". The harmonies in the chorus do something nice to my head.
ace tune

If you play it thumb-and-index-finger, it's not so hard. Playing that last bit with a pick is fricking tricky.

I seen a lot of different videos of them playing it, and Mark Knopfler makes it look so damn easy

I actually don't like it so far. It sounds like he forgot how to sing. Its feels really pop-ish too.

Masters of an instrument often do that.

Heh, I personally think Only is one of the best tracks on the album, something simply awesome about the whole "look, I'll just fucking talk for a good part of the song and make it work"

i just got snow patrol-final straw and it is pretty awesome, and i like "ocean breathes salty" by modest mouse, and definately mr brightside (i love the video for it).. uh i got the new weezer cd, it is okay.. not absolutely amazing, but better than a lot of shit out there, and there are a few songs i really like on that (perfect situation, hold me, this is such a pity, the other way)

I've listened to the album Pinback - Summer in Abaddon probably around 50 times in the last 3 weeks and am still loving it.
Check them out of you haven't heard of them.

Dredg - Movement I , Bug Eyes, and Not That Simple.
Just went to their concert and now I'm on a Dredg kick. :icon14:

I absolutely LOVE Dredg, but I've not heard the latter two songs you've mentioned. New album? I've got Leitmotif and El Cielo.

Fuck yeah. I don't often run into many other Dredg fans. I got hooked on El Cielo but was too lazy to get Leitmotif until after I saw the show.
They've got a new album coming out this summer. You can listen to both those two songs on their website
here .

Awesome, thanks for the update :icon14:
I first heard about them from a friend who saw them live. Got Leitmotif (as El Cielo wasn't out yet) and instantly fell in love with it, specially Lechium (brilliant song). Very few bands give me goosebumps, but Dredg does.

I like that song. Reminds me of old Elton John songs like Philidelphia Freedom and You're So Static.
