yup, as seen in the video that accompanies the article.
obviously you can turn voice commands off but I suppose that's akin to unplugging your mouse on your windows pc.

Well it's all set. I've opted to run on normal power mode and not to run TiVo through it. Seems wasteful to have to turn on the xbox just to watch tv.

Yeah...but...if you don't watch tv through it, you won't get the achievements for watching tv through it.

being able to say..."xbox on" and having everything power up (tv, cablebox) and then say "watch hbo" or "whats on tbs" along with play, pause, record etc..basically total voice control..is awesome.

that sounds pretty cool.
Too bad I haven't had interest at any games for over a year and don't watch television.

I'm am being thick, or is there no way to stream from my NAS?

On the tv thing, we don't have support yet for dvr/stb so I'll revisit when there is.

it still supports DLNA they said (after sony revealed the ps4 doesnt), so I guess it's somewhere.
they buried it in the latest 360 dash update so you might have to poke around for it?

edit: oh lol
The Xbox One will let you stream content to the console using DLNA, although on day one there's no native support to initiate those streams, so the console acts as a receiver only.
So instead of using your XB1 to select content from your NAS or laptop, you have to tell your laptop or NAS to start sending.
handy that.

Trying tv through again.

But pissed its not pass through, I.e. You can't turn the xbox off, you must have it on.

Shaft, have you noticed any lag/staggering/juddering on HD channels?

Oh lol. 7/5.1 isn't passed through to the xbox one from your stb. Great.

I notice there's a beta option for surround.

Edit: that works. Slight delay sorted out by a/v settings on the receiver.
However the power on command doesn't send for long enough to turn the tv back on.

Nope. When you say xbox off, pass thought stops. Rubbish.

I've also noticed the power brick runs in off mode. Mine has a slight ticking sound from the fan.

Unless the stb support turns it around, do not want.
