Yes indeed it was 'edge of the seat' stuff
I let out a cheer when they did on landing confirmation. Mighty stuff.

Well done to the thousands involved.

so i went on a valiant search across the internet in search of this image and i used tineye like any good person using another and did not find that exact copy but i do find a lesser copy and a link to the page hosting it, which happens to be xkcd, and then scroll through a few whatchamacallits and then see a link near the top of the page that says something about killer robots wiping out the human species before and i click the link and i am reading this response article written by the xkcd artist and then the webpage has frozen itself somehow within a tabbed window of my safari browser. i do not know how this could happen or that it did happen, ever, for anyone. i can no longer scroll up or down on the webpage. all other tabs and webpages are unharmed in this incident.

This whole project and achievement is amazing. But I find it depressing that it's not plastered on the front page of every paper in the world. Instead we have Kristen cheating on Rob...

Hah! Will the parachute drag that capsule around?

Edit: Oh I thought that was the empty capsule and the parachute on the ground. Apparently that's during the landing...

everything went to near perfection.

just look at this image:

that oval was their target point, and they were trying to get it as close to that ditch as possible.

that fucker landed pretty close to the best case scenario from what I see
