on the other hand, its OS X because its OS 10, as in RomanCanis wrote:"OS X" is the title of the software. Technically it's "Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)", though some folks mistakenly use the X as part of the version release, making it X.4 or X.3.9, etc.corsair wrote:wouldnt it for some reason be called osx.4?
so os 10.4 or X.4 could both be accurate.
or mebbe ven X.IV

For the windows fanboys there is konfabulator It's got tons of widgets and is malware free shareware. Although after 2 weeks they will start asking for support. $24.99

Pic serves 2 purposes one is to display knofabulator, and the second is to show a screenshot of how simple GAIM looks for those who ask, since I have retired my Trillian hat I have been a major GAIM fanboy.

BTW - don't widgets get boring as hell after the novelty wears off? They don't really do anything useful and just clutter the desktop that you rarely use or even see anyway..

That screen is usually desktop and IM only, I use my other screen for almost everything else, but yeah widgets are generally useless, and I'm sure I'll kill them eventually.
There are a few usefull ones like the
Wireless signal monitor
Battery Monitor
IP Address Display

Yeah, I agree with that, but the folks at apple tried explaining it the other way for the sake of their fancy new product name...MKJ wrote:on the other hand, its OS X because its OS 10, as in RomanCanis wrote:"OS X" is the title of the software.
