What's marvellous is that with HD, split screen will finally be a normal alternative for online play. I remember four-way splitscreen goldeneye on the N64. It was just one blur of pixels you were staring at.

DooMer the MP is a pretty unique experience--a level of strategy is required that goes beyond just item control or up-player/down-player balance... baiting and flanking are so important, and yet they execute so naturally, this game is very nearly fuckin perfect.

I was expecting good things, but honestly I am shocked that it is this good.

Just got it. Gamestop and EB tried to tell me I'd never get a copy if I didn't pre-order. I refuse to pre-order any fucking game, and have never, ever not picked up a game that i wanted on the day it was released. They almost got mad at me because I kept saying "nah, I'll just buy it the day its released" and they made that sound impossible. Told them I would get it at hasting's (a video store) and they said "well they don't get it until the 12th" which was a lie. Hasting's had about 50 copies left when I got there this afternoon. They push so hard to get you to shell out cash for pre-orders...they must love to get money up front and not have to give out any merchandise at the time of the transaction.

now see, if someone had gone off like that to reef he'd have pm'd them about hurting his feelings and calling him a retard.
