Stolen from somewhere:
Usenet is a global bulletin board system that allows its users to hold discussions about a wide variety of topics. It features forums called "newsgroups" that cover a particular subject. e.g. the newsgroup "alt.politics" is meant to discuss politics.
In addition to providing a place where users can post text-only messages, it can also be used to share files. Groups that are meant to share files are called "binary newsgroups" and usually have a name that reflects that (e.g. alt.binaries.misc).

I'm trying 'to rent' this from Blockbuster, but damn it's slow... there's a big line, and the cashier is slow ringing the sales...

Went to pick it up...neither Best Buy, nor Gamestop, nor Software Etc., or EB had it in yet. All said it was coming in tomorrow.
I'll probably wait for a few days now...was out today for the neck thing. Back to work tomorrow, and I am coaching, which means I don't get back home until about 6:30-7:00, and after you factor in time to eat, go to the gym (I just discovered that I am fat, so I am back to working out extra hard again), and spend quality time with the wife, games are in the back seat at the moment.

Took a pic with everything maxed out in settings.
It may not look as good as Doom3 but it runs flawless and the intensity just makes me wanna cry, trees and grass sway in the wind, birds fly by,burning wrecks, mortar fire in the distans, planes in the air etc.
The placement of the gun models, the awsome iron sights, the absolutly perfect sounds from weapons, bullets passing by,your team mates shouting, reloading and ambient is 100% clear and sharp.. the story in sp is as intense and good as in CoD and imo BIA beats COD on all points.
Gearbox have accomplished one hell of a game and im dying to play some MP with you all.
Im telling ya, if you got a few bucks/quids over you should get this game, you wont be dissapointed.
tnf, i hear ya man..you are busy, just holla when ya got some time over and we´ll play dude.
And relax on the gym thingy..its still months til the bathing/beach season. :icon31:

Without a doubt and i really enjoyed Cod.. well i must admit i was kinda tired of the quake engine.
BIA is more a long episode of Band of brothers and your only playing as U.S in the sp... but omg what a ride it is.
I take BIA over CoD anyday.(and thats not because cod is a year old)
This game is the shit! :icon34:

oh, yer generic teamgame. the ones that only work if players are well coordinated, read: not on pub servers.
Gearbox describes it best:
"
Brothers in Arms Road to Hill 30 features a multiplayer game that’s a first for the genre. Featuring revolutionary first person shooter (FPS) gameplay and easy to use squad control, BIA puts players in the role of squad leader in competitive online, goal oriented missions. Just like the single player game, Brothers in Arms multiplayer uses a one-button squad control system to execute real-life fire and maneuver tactics. The multiplayer gameplay has been compared to a single player co-op experience, only in this game, the enemy is also controlled by real human players.
Unlike other WWII action games that only offer generic game modes such as Deathmatch or Capture the Flag, Brothers in Arms offers compelling and unique multiplayer missions that provide a large variety of gameplay scenarios. Whether you’re the American force trying to destroy the enemy antiaircraft guns in “Shattered Wings” or playing as the German force trying to slow the Allied advancement by flooding the fields in “In the Channel,” players are sure to experience a level of exciting team-based action never before seen in this genre.
Hope to play with ya soon mkj!

4 page IGN PC review:
http://pc.ign.com/articles/596/596196p1.html
"Like most of us here at IGN, I'm still a huge fan of Call of Duty and Battlefield 1942. While those games have their own unique strengths, Brothers in Arms takes some of the best features of each and adds an entirely new tactical dimension. Offering up engaging, squad-based battles and presenting it all in an authentic yet undeniably cinematic setting, Brothers in Arms is a game that, to borrow a phrase from General Patton, "grabs you by the nose and kicks you in the ass." I didn't enjoy the SC3 demo. Seems like ot much time was spent on how it looks compared to how it plays.
Looks the shit though with Paralax mapping etc turned on.
